It wasn't until the late 90s and early 2000s that things went pear-shaped with Progressive House sounds.
If you listen to some of the best new stuff it's getting very good again - and I can't hack much more dull as dishwater 'Tech House' trotted out with the same boring old formats ... cue similar slow death which was the fate of Progressive.
Never been into funky house - always felt if was music for non-music lovers, so some decent chugging proggy techno may well get a decent following - maybe long hair will re-appear too for a bit of a fashion change
