Was I the only one who found both kids really annoying? I was hoping the 'precocious' kis was going to get dusted so I wouldn't have to put with her incessant whining and screaming

Dakota fannings constant screaming got right on my nerves. They should've got an unknown to play that part she's too good for just screaming!

if you just sit back and enjoy it, i think wotw is absolutely wicked.

for popcorn thrills and scares i haven't seen a better film for a long time. it's meant to be a summer blockbuster, not schindler's list ;)

Funny you should say that James - I actually saw quite a bit of the spirit of shindlers list in this film, it's quite gruesome some of the scenes (ie the bodies floating down the river) - and actually a realistic take on the kind of human reactions to a real invasion (ie when they get carjacked by the mob)..

Quite interesting how the little girl keeps asking if it's terrorists at the beginning too..

If you look closely there's rucksacks on the back of the tripod ship things. If they'd had hoods it'd of been bang up to date.

Presumably if the Daily Mail would have been more concerned that they weren't English than the fact they were exterminating mankind!
