Just wondering if anyone has done this walk in recent years? Are there any new routes etc?

Had a bit of a trek in June but only walked about 30 mins before heading back for beers to PDB, so curious about other people's experiences. Cheers

I wouldn't recommend it in the heat. And you'll get eaten alive in the evening

don't do it around noon. if you head out in the morning with trainers & lots of water you will be fine. done it lots of times myself (but then again I am a professional hiker)
OK thanks. Sounds good...50/50 whether I'll make it as it is the day after the cocoon 25 Yr anniversary, but I can hope I'll be up to it.

There doesn't seem to be any obvious coastal paths /routes when looking at the maps, is it a bit of a scramble with some stretches of beaches if you follow the coast?

right ok, reading this...swerve it man. IMO it's not a good idea to plan a hike the morning after a heavy night out. it'll still be very warm and seeing how many of my clients struggle with summer temperatures when I take them out hiking (and they are usually well-rested), I'd say it's definitely not something you should attempt when you've had a night out just beforehand.

the path as such isn't super hard to find - get up to torre d'es carregador at the southern end of pdb, down the other side into la xanga and just follow the small path along the coast. sometimes there are various small paths rather than just one, but as long as you stay close to the coast you can't really get lost.

Thanks for the advice. Just trying to gauge how difficult it is really. I like a good hike/walk but was planning to drag my brother along as 7 or 8 km is doable but prob putting me off now as it'd be prob more hassle than it's worth (even for a 3pm start). He'll be gagging for a beer after a km.
