i agree completely. while there last year my admittedly non raving friend asked why was everyone was clapping and cheering as the sun set, quite sarcastically congratulating it for 'doing something its done for millions of years' - i didnt even bother trying to explain! you truly either get it or you dont!!!

oops - this had to be explained to me also and i am as far from a non raver as you can get (but a natural blonde):lol:
 
Thing with that sun set, isnt it because its not every where you see it so clearly ?!

and i spose having the amount of people there that actually wana see it and get highly slaughtered at the same time, makes it all the more a 'different sort of viewing' :lol:
 
Right, have to say it does go a b1t twatty and pretentious when a load of people who basically enjoy taking drugs in the sun bang on, continually about the 'magic'.

(edit - thats not you lot btw, people who invest the time to research the place and go back all the time excluded!)

Don't get me wrong, i think i get it, it's got a whole load of things chucked together that make it pretty uniqe - but i can empathise with xxxkellys mate, clapping and hugging as the same old sun goes down does becomes a bit of cliche :rolleyes::lol:

And, aside from miami is it not the most elitist place you can go clubbing?

the thing with my friend is she had never been before - it was the first time she experienced the sun setting at cafe del mar - its not like she has seen it 100 times and become jaded. She isnt a big clubber and only went to ibiza because 'its something you have to do before you die' - so she is probably just one of those people that doesnt get it! but last year was my 3rd visit to the island with my fourth 9 weeks and 6 days away, and i could sit and watch the sunset every night of the holiday! i dont know what it is, i just love the atmosphere and how chilled everyone is before a hard nights partying gets underway!

WHAT !!!! I have been going since 1999 and I still find it as good as the first time, I think for me Its just knowing your with your closest mates and all experienceing an amazing holiday together and everyone there is all on the same wave length, I have been to a sunset every time i have been to Ibiza :):)
 
1999 was the first year I went too :) we may have danced next to each other on our very first time hehe. I've never really been about sunsets and stuff I thought I may as well go see last year, I wasn't blown away tbh! I never stay in san an and I'm not really fussed on the place although I did love the chilled music in Mambo, we had a mojito and sat and watched the sun.. personally I would have rathered been somewhere raving but thats just me! I will be going back to Mambo this year with my daughters :)

1999 was my first time also. I didn't find this web site until after that. I went with my German neighbors who didn't club. I went to bora bora, Space and Pacha only.
 
I cant handle 7 days of partying anymore so a trip over to San An one night for cocktails/amazing food and the sunset is perfect, and we stay literally on Bora Bora eevry time we stay it is nice to get away for a few hours :)

I did Space on the Sunday when it did stay open for 22 hours and much better than it is now, Cream of which i still have my flyers and ticket stub haha and Pacha as Sasha was on and I cant remember where else :):) ???

I went to Pacha and to Space Sunday morning. I was a wreck all day Monday.
