[UNVRS] Ibiza 2025

This morning I received an email about a return bus ticket that I had ordered🙂

We are contacting because you bought the Return Shuttle Bus from [UNVRS] Ibiza, but we have just been informed that this service will no longer be operating.

From now on the transport options are the following:
- Free transport TO the club either with the UNVRS Shuttle or the Discobus, included in your club ticket
- For return the only bus option available is Discobus, tickets can be bought on board: https://discobusibiza.com/

We will proceed to cancel your Return Shuttle Bus tickets and do a full refund back to the card with which you made the purchase.
Please note, this information is ONLY regarding the Return Shuttle Bus, the event at [UNVRS] will be taking place as expected and no changes there.

Well they were trying to sell the return at €9 per person, whereas the regular disco bus is only €4, so I guess people used their sense and walked an extra 50 yards for the cheaper option

Makes sense, I should have known when I went to Eric Prydz's opening😅

What? They give you a free bus there but were trying to charge €9 to get you safely home (which is debatably the more risky part of an evening)...surely they should just run their free buses throughout (like Pacha) particularly given their ticket prices.

Oh...the old days when you jumped on the free bus from Privi direct to Space

I finally made it to unvrs last weekend, I'll try to be as objective as possible with my review.

generally talking about the venue I have to say, credit where credit is due, the refurb has been done very well and the result is genuinely impressive. everything looks very neat and stylish - something I never thought of hï, from day one I thought the theatre looked tacky AF, the club room soulless and I didn't like the gimmick like the outside tepees either. so, well done on that. also that they kept the big outdoor 'bowl' and paid homage to what the venue used to be previously.

we weren't in the main room for too long (because I didn't get boris brechja at all). the lights look good (but it's not something that's ever been very important to me) and the sound system is decent as well - but some people calling it 'the best sound system they've ever heard' either haven't been to berghain's main room (or some other club with a really good sound system) or they simply are on TNLs payroll to say such a thing. it simply sounds as good as it SHOULD sound in a club of such a calibre - another thing I never thought of hï - but I really don't hink it's oustanding. IMO pacha still wins that one right now here on the island.

the bunker is fun as is the wild comet, with the negative point that it was bloody hot in there - not sure if this is a regular thing or if any of the aircons didn't work that night. but then again, if the bogs is the highlight of your club, you've got the priorities wrong IMO, something I've also voiced in the past. but that's the old grumpy clubber in me I know ;)

maybe it was us, but we just didn't get the main room energy on sunday night - so we left shortly after coxy started and went back to amnesia to see villalobos (who I thought was on very good form).

I'm certainly gonna go back to unvrs at some point to spend a full night (or at least a bigger chunk of it) in the big room. it's evident that this venue will be the future benchmark here on the island and I can't help but think hï might really be the loser in that game in a way in the long haul.
Flying back to Ibiza for the second time this summer on the 31st and had planned to go to Carl Cox and The Chemical Brothers but a combination of reviews like this (really helpful, by the way, thank you) and one of the worst crowds I've ever encountered recently at Black Coffee in London (I know it's not that bad in Ibiza but it can almost be as bad if you go to the wrong night) means I think I'm going to go to Bedouin at Chinois instead.

If and when I go to UNVRS I think I want to make it an all-night thing and give the whole place a chance; I already had my heart set on Andrea Oliva at Playa Soleil and given that's going until 3am, I'm struggling to justify paying the cost of a ticket to get into UNVRS after that when I'm expecting Chinois to be more fun.
