One of the "together's" on the track of the same name by Mssrs Bangalter and Falcon, is sampled from the song "Sincerely Yours", by, you guessed it, an artist called Sweet Sensation.

Sweet Sensation's name reminds me of 'Sad Sweet Dreamer'.

"It's just one of those things you put down to experience..."

Hello Leese and weloveliam :D

So who should I be vary of then?! ;)

Buckley - Im intrigued :)

Sweet Sensation were the first British Soul Band to appear on ToTP with 'Sad Sweet Dreamer'. Their lead singer Marcel King was my mate Quacker's (she was called Sarah but even her parents called that) bloke.

Sadly, Marcel next hit the headlines when his son was shot in 1997. Gunchester and all that.

Well you learn something new eveyday ;)

There is also a very cheesy 80's girl band called sweet sensation too :D

i don't think sweet sensation were the first to appear on totp. that was 1974, i'm sure the real thing from liverpool appeared at least 2 or 3 years before them and there were probably others. i don't think geno washington ever appeared on the show but i remember a live album i had of his was filled with so much raw energy - no wonder he became a cult figure.

Perhaps Quacker was building his part, as it were. She told me that 'fact'.
And 'props' for squeezing Geno onto another thread!
