Thought Id Should Introduce Myself Too!!!

Hello (nice sig by't way)

I live in Welling which is out a bit to the south east, but only a 25 min train drive, so prob about same distance as sale/alty from manchester.
As for nights out, depends what you like really, theres a few good circuits. Friday nights round the Northern Quarter, ie Bar Centro, Cord & Bluu were always "uber cool" also loved it down "1 central street" on either friday or sat. Ampersand & Venus are always good nights, not particularly ground breaking music, but good atmosphere, and obviously you know sankeys, but dont let one tool put you off!!! I've had some top nights in there, all the big names play there!!!

also check out the unabombers at electirc chair, thats a great night for old skook, breaks, soul & hip hop!!! ;)

Im not letting that knobhead put me off, it was funny really he was four foot and a fart and my boyf is 6' 4" 8O you think he would have picked on someone his own size! I was even taller than him!!! :lol:

I really wanted to go to the tribal gathering, but even tho bucky did us a deal we still cant afford it :oops: spesh as we're trying to save our pennies for ibiza!! ;)

Where do you go out in London?

Yeah I like it, altho it's very civilised altho I think I need that to balance out the rest of the debauchery in my life so I've got a safe haven to come home to :lol:

Lol, I know what you mean, I first went in 1996 and been about 20x since, even met my b/friend over there in 1999, he's looking into us buying apartment over there but I leave all that grown-up money stuff to him :lol:

I'm I right in thinking the Northern Quarter is a couple of bars en route to Sankeys?

Bit of a stuck up DJ tho, I asked him for Deep Dish - Say Hello and he just said I havent got it and gave me a funny look as if how dare I speak to him lol! :?

yeah man, the Northern Quarter is basically Oldham Street, Tib Street, Church Street, High Street and smaller connecting streets. It's about hal;f mile from Sankeys, it's enjoying something of a renaissance at the moment and is home to a cool, pretentious (hence the derision asking for deepdish) crowd, but you wont get no trouble and you can wear trainers in the bars, which for manchester on a weekend is a novelty. ;)

N.b Dry Bar, although technically in the Northern Quarter, isnt really recognised as part of the scene, due to it's "be-hooded" regulars ;)

Is Dry still there? It was always full of assholes but my mate Rich (from Huddersfield) was desperate to be a Manc bad lad, so he used to drag us in regularly.

You know Mick the Barber on Tib St? Did I ask you this before JJ?
 
hola seniorita, 32 eh? i hope i will still be going when im that age (im 25), i was there 2 weeks ago for my 5th year running, i cant get enough of the place either, would live there any day of the week but have you seen the property prices!? lol 150,000 euros for a 1 bed apartment, ouch! :cry:

When you turn 30 you get a whole new lease of life, well I did anyway ;) I partied just as hard at 30 to what I did at 17 ;) and there aint no stopping me yet (well just not as regular lol) ;)
