I know a lot of Italians and they are nice people , there are good and bad in every country, race etc .... its just some are a bit... I think they spend their life honing their muscles ready for their holiday to Ibiza (and they are very, very nice those 8 packs) and then when they descend they believe that they are irresistable (not all but qiute a few lol)
 
I come from an Italian background.

The only thing I regret about it is having to be made to speak English at home, because now I only know a little bit of Italian where as I'd like to be able to speak fluent in it, because Italian culture has taught me a lot about enjoying things. Not only that, but, Italian women, come on ;)

Italians are a lucky culture.

Sometimes you go to a place for its beauty or famous tourist sites. Other times, you simply go for the people.

That's partially how I ended up in Ireland to work after college. In my humble opinion, the Irish are some of the nicest people on this planet. And now, there is documented evidence to support this.

Lonely Planet's remarkable Bluelist now boasts that Ireland is indeed the friendliest, most welcoming country in the world.

While this is no surprise for me, I'd never be able to guess the other countries mentioned in the top ten list. And in fact, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that backpackers and travelers voted the USA in at second; this is great news considering the bashing we've been receiving abroad in the last few years.

In case you are looking for a holiday destination where the people themselves will put a smile on your face you may want to check out the other countries which also made the list; Malawi, Vietnam, Thailand, Fiji, Indonesia, Samoa, and Scotland

exactly! - stereotypes, stereotypes etc blah blah

with my students in Spain, I used to do so many classes on this subject :lol:

they would have the Brits down as either total neanderthals or as Prince Charles types - it took a lot of work persuading people that there's millions who are like neither...
