The footy !!

And of course Pep wasn't going to comment... he'd already looked like an idiot taking the bait earlier in the week [/QUOTE]

When Fergie or Jose say something it's genius or mind games, when Pep or Rafa say something they have a rant or look like an idiot - discuss?

It's all about style, mate.
Pep went off the rails in public.
Jose usually speaks quite calmly (although I missed last night's presser)
It's not what you say, but how you say it :)

do you work for ITV commentry?!

I just got the impression that DJJAYCOOL didn't get the bigger picture - didn't realise he'd actually lived there

*itv is cringe though I agree - usually minimise the sound and try and get a medium wave spanish radio signal but it's rubbish where I live

pep was stone cold calm when he responded to mou.

in contrast last night, mou was like a 5 year old naming refs and incidents. it was like rafa's list except a mental one.

if we're talking mind games, it was clear pep and barça are smashing him, cos after the game, his only thought was to waffle on about all these things, rather than discuss his own team. looking for fault elsewhere, anywhere else but from within. pathetic.

morbs - even if i take on board your point, which i disagree with by the way. you're still not accepting how bad form/bad attitude his stance is. he's literally the worst example of anyone involved in the game i can think of, it's just a more subtle/intelligent form of play acting.

i also hate the way you're making little of this situation. last night was way too far. he basically tried to undermine/belittle one of THE great teams EVER, whilst simultaneously saying he was all about football and the good of the game.

thank fcuk that everyone has finally seen what a joke that whole charade is.

also, pep totally busting mou on the press conference.

cos we all know pep is the puto amo, so calling mou it, was pure gangster shineboxing. he actually shineboxed the fcuk out of him.

it was almost zidane-esque.....you know when he would just look at people for more than 2 seconds to let them know their place. class.

Both clubs sit on high horses saying they play the best football. Pep is not as media savvy as Mourinho. As people complain about the big four in England the same goes for the big two in Spain. They are the bullies on the block and act like it on most occasions. The $hit is spread evenly by both clubs. The press conferences are aimed at supporters who will eat up whatever crap is out in front of them.

the mind games count for 5hit if they don't impact on the result.

If you just talk the talk and don't deliver - you look like a bit of a clown (see sam allardyce and that gobby bloke with the orange tan who was at hull)

but even the most staunch viking would find it hard to deny just how good and how much better the current barça team is.

why is pep not as media savvy? cos he doesn't act like fcukin muppet. if you'd seen both press conferences last night, i doubt you'd have said what you did above.

What I meant to say is he is not as savvy as Mourinho. He could not survive at Barcelona if he was not media savvy. This is hard for me to say....... but at the moment El Barco is the better team. pssst don't tell anyone I said that.

You could see why Ronaldo had the hump as he wanted to do what he is paid for and play football.

Can you get Mourinho back to Chelsea, please?
I don't think Spain can cope with another Barça-Madrid, there's risk of civil war

Did you read my bit about the inter v chelsea game earlier? Mourinho didnt mention this funnily enough..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v6zrF3y4djc

Mourinho's win last year is tainted then, he must feel ashamed to gave won it last year

I don't think there's anyone who thinks Milan didn't deserve to go through over the two legs though dodgy penalty decisions or not...

Have a comparison to that and "the other game" on here if you have to. I think we both know the answer to it.

Don't think he was wrong

and for anyone to mention the word great with this Barcelona team I'm sorry you're wrong. Cut out the cheating and the bad sportsmanship and we can talk but not yet...

PS Hi Silv, been a long time since you were here last.

Hang on.. if you're using that yard stick you certainly can't complain at Barca being favoured because in most cases they do deserve to go through because they are the better team

The point I was making is that Mourinho has had refs favour him as much as everyone else.

As for them being great, depends what you mean great, either way if they win this years champions league they will certainly be considered by many as the best since the Milan team in the early 90's.

Sil, I think you're right about Mourinho.. Barca have complained to UEFA about his press conference and I've just heard now Real Madrid are doing the same about how the Barcelona players behaved on the pitch..

Something nasty going to happen next tuesday 8O

NOt that I think that football is a place of smart and elegant gentlmen, specially in Spain, but never never in my life I've seen such a dirty fight away from the field.
Madrid is following Mourinho's game but what would you do in FLorentino's place? He pays 10M to mourinho, is his biggest (and maybe last) bet to get Madrid in the galactic thing again so he has to follow his game, whatever it is, whatever it means for Real Madrid reputation.
BTW Mourinho has been complaining about referees all year, he has had rucks with half of the trainers of the liga, you don't hear talking about football anymore is all about his paranoias, referrees and all this ****.

If I'm making little of the situation, you're certainly blowing it out of proportion!

Were his comments out of line? Probably so, although he had some right to feel aggrieved.

Is he the football Antichrist? No, of course not.

(and just to clarify - while I'm defending him here, it's born of pragmatism, not any affinity for Mourinho... when he was at Chelsea I usually wanted to gag him )

What's everyones take on this???

Been taken down now but it's video of Busquets covering his face while apparently calling one of the Real players a monkey, be interesting to see UEFA's take on this now it has come to light....

Remember not so long ago when similar unfounded accusations were being levelled at Chelsea staff and the uproar made by the other team at the time, can't remember who it was though....;););):lol::lol:

There was me thinking my double or quits bet with Chewie on Liverpool finishing above Spurs was a dead duck....

Dare we dream of the Europa League after THIS season???!!

Somebody grab a wet fish and paint IRONY on it ready for Neil Warnock....

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/mar/09/qpr-fa-charges-alejandro-faurlin1

The course of this season's Championship title race could be dramatically altered if the runaway leaders Queens Park Rangers are docked points after being charged with seven serious breaches of Football Association rules.

The FA has alleged that QPR fielded a player, the Argentinian midfielder Alejandro Faurlin, for a full season in 2009-10 while his registration was not owned by the club but by a third party. That, the FA alleges, breached the rule introduced in July 2009 following the Carlos Tevez affair, which prohibited English clubs from fielding players owned wholly or in part by third‑party interests.

West Ham United were fined £5.5m by an independent Premier League commission in 2007 for breaching regulations when signing Tevez, a decision widely criticised as not severe enough because West Ham were not docked points. By a twist of fate the manager of Sheffield United, who went down in 2006-07 and then sued West Ham because the latter had stayed up with Tevez's help, was Neil Warnock, now manager of QPR. At the time Warnock argued publicly that West Ham should have been docked points.

The verdict from the FA is due on Friday - rumours already circulating of a 15 point deduction, which would put them in a playoff position only.

8O:lol:

Ive obvious had an intrest in this case and the degree in variation between newspaper reports is unreal. I am very confident there will be no points deduction.

Because a points deduction should only take play if we had an unfair advantage but Faurlin was Legible to play at all times due to the FA sacftioning the paperwork. It was also not this season it happened (year before) so Warnock was not even at the club at the time.

There are several key FACTS

Faurlin was eleigible to play from day 1 THE FA allowed the transfer and the paperwork was completed correctly.

The AGENT was FIFA registered just not FA registered at the time (Same agent as Gareth Baile)

These are the 2 major charges the rest are minor relating to the administration of his renewed contract.

If there was any points deduction it would be VERY harsh and almost unjustifiable

THe report saying 15 points is just made up, Shaun Curtiss of the Sun admited this after we had thew backpage on Friday kept backtracking and saying worst case scenario blah blah blah. This report also quoted an FA insider which could bring the whole case to its knees no decision should have been made until the evidence is heard so im certain the QPR legal team are all over that hence why the FA released at statement saying there was no quote from them rubbishing the sun story.

To be fair it will open a can of worms it it did happen We are one of the wealthiest clubs in the world and im almost cetain will have the best legal team in the world on this. The FA wont want a lenghty appeal delaying the playoffs nor will they want the team that missed out on the play offs mnounting a legal bid due to them missing out etc etc.

Remember none of this happened this season and QPR have won the championship this year fair and square and myself like thousands of others have been celebrating be champions this season and will continue to do so despite bull**** newspaper reports.

And an on another note Neil Warnocks 7th Promotion as a Manager, has to be on of the best English managers in the game thats for sure !!

See you at Anfield next season Jam Man ( although history suggests we dont have a great record there)
