The footy !!

Not really no, 2 or 3 may leave or be brought in, but he certainly hasn overhauled it. Las season he sold Alonso and Arbeloa and had to use the money from them to buy Aquilani and Johnson, but he wasnt given additional money. We do need 4 or 5 class players to be challenging again like last season.

And a new manager.

i'm actually amazed, considering how bad we've been, we even stayed in contentious (sort of). today was just the summary of our season: so-so performance, no real drive or quality or desire, bit out of our depth really.

massive game on wednesday now......fancy spurs to do it actually.

obviously be a big shock if chelsea didn't win, but haven't wigan knicked a point there before...or at least a few of the lesser sides anyway, not beyond thinking an alamo style thing could happen.

I won't write off Wigan and I won't be celebrating until if/when we beat them at the Bridge and all is set in stone. They've done every top team this year at home and even though this is away I don't think they'll lie down. That said, I think Stoke is a better team so no easier for Man U then for us!

Come on Morbyd show your true Blue clolours and nail them to the mast!

Im celebrating already!!!!!

The Wigan game will be a Victory salute to a team that deserves the Premiership this year.

Every sort of s*it was thrown at them and they still came out on top.

In front of their home fans at Stamford Bridge this bunch of Chelsea players are not going to throw away a Title to Wigan who deserve a good trashing for taking points off us earlier in the season!!!

What Morbs said... Nothing written in stone yet the win against Liverpool was good but won't be celebrating anything until we actually win the thing.

Exactly. And if you play like you did in the 1st half, Wigan might pull of a shock ( I fookin hope not as I want nothing more than manure to lose it to you guys) !!

ps My so called friends who are manure fans are alrady saying the gerrard back heeled to Drogba on purpose !!

Roman will have to send Liverpool a big thankyou present.

A 2-0 beating of Man Utd and 3 points yesterday was very much appreciated.

Hope we can return the favor to Liverpool next season.............

I've seen that subtext in some of the press reporting on the match too, especially with Sir Alex's comments. Really stupid assertion.

I didn't think we played all that poorly in the first half. Liverpool didn't even have a shot on target!

Bez - we've been so close to 'clinching' it so many times this season that I'm just not inclined to celebrate early!

Im going to enjoy the feeling of Champions elect. Its been a while. I have enough faith in the team to put away Wigan at home.

Dont want the slagging that we were "very quiet" up untill we actually won it. Im going to enjoy the next week annoying the Man Ure brigade especially after Liverpool making it easier for us:)

I felt sorry for Liverpool yesterday..........they were between a rock and a hard place. Win and they hand the Title to Man Utd, and they are not a team who take loosing lightly. Thursday nights defeat was tough for them..........

If it was Man ure in the same position they would be celebrating now!!

As a fan ofcourse I wanted us to win yesterday (and for sunderland to beat them ), but like Morbs says we didnt even have a shot on target. I think with the terrible season we've had, then the draining and tiresome night we had thursday, coupled with the injuries again, it was just too much.

It wasnt pleasent seeing the players doing the lap of (shame) honour at the end to say thanks to the fans, you could see the shame and dejection in their faces. And also whether it was the last time Benitez, Gerrard and Torres might be there :(

I would have thought he should bite Juventus' hand off, if there is an offer, before his stock gets any lower......

TBH I dont think Juve can afford to take him on. They'd have to pay large compensation, plus a fee to him and a large transfer kitty. Rumours today of them changing their attention to Mancini.

I think he'll wait to see the outcome of our potential new owners. He could walk into a top job in Europe anytime really. He's been wasted at anfield imo, with the right backing things could have been so different this season.

Seems to me like he knows he's got to go, and knows where he wants to go, but he'll drag it out to see if he can get fired and get the payoff instead of resigning. That should endear him to the Liverpool faithful :?

He might also think he has a shot at the Real Madrid job... and he just might considering they took Ramos after Spurs!

I don't think he'd wait to get fired (plus we cant afford to ), he walked from Valencia in a similiar situation. I think he'll walk if he gets false promises again, and I think the powers that be will want him to walk if thats the case.

Thats alot of walking  :D

If we got new owners soon with a promise of a big kitty, I think hed give it a go. Him, montse and the kids are really settled and love the area. We'll see.
