The footy !!

In the long run, you and me know it means nothing at the mo. Still, always nice to put one over on the scum...:lol::lol::lol:
Ya, I know... but we can enjoy it while it lasts, can't we?
We need at least an 8-point cushion going into the African Cup of Nations. :?

even more so as to be honest you absolutely didnt deserve it and scored under very dodgy circumstances ie questionable free kick and drogba pulling down the baked bean in the box, which just made bacon face and the rest of the scum even more incensed!!! love it!!

Giggs was really off his game yesterday. If one of his easy passes landed where they should have had......it was in the back of the net.

Ancholitti has made a big difference to Chelsea. He has brought stability and luck to the team.......something UTD used to have a monopoly on.

Delighted for old Whiskey nose......:lol::lol:

Think I might go collect my bet on Chelsea to win the Premiership now:p

Disastrous weekend in the important games.

Was 3-0 up at half time for my Saturday side and ended up drawing 3-3. Doh! And then lost 3-0 to our local rivals on Sunday for the veteran side.

There you have it, that's the big news!

my team....

playing poor domestically
playing pathetic stuff in europe

but

still unbeaten in the league/domestic cup
2pts back with a game in hand

:D

True, but no mention of his Kung Fu Ninjas defending... Was Cantona training them or something????

(Will take all the luck we can get really)...

contrary to what people think, most LFC fans want rafa to stay.

the reason for this is because they know him and know the club and don't rely on the drip-fed bollocks given by the Uk media.

i've had this discussion with morbs before, as both of us live outside that environment so find it laughable at the logic (or lack of it), lazy editorial hatchet jobs that many uk footy journos get away. it's only when you're outside it, do you truly see how ridiculous what is said and written actually is.

as for rafa, after guiding us to our best ever season (in terms of points won) last year with pretty much the same team as we've got now and then not having a single penny in the transfer kitty to build on that during the summer, he doesn't even deserve to go, nowhere near it!

the nobheads who ring in talk sport or present on sky sports are clueless. "why take torres off after 60 minutes?" errr...perhaps it's cos he's a crock and can't play any longer. 'professional' pundits questioning why torres or gerrard don't play or are substituted, as if rafa wouldn't play them every 90 if he could.

no doubt someone will come in with the amount of money he has spent, which is totally misleading because of the amount he has had to sell also, and that doesn't even take it consideration that unlike most clubs, our wage budget and transfer budget aren't kept separately. (we might have to sell a player to give reina a new contract for ****'s sake).

uk media (broadsheets too)......total scum.

Yes I know what you are saying and I respect Liverpool as a Football club.

But communication between Rafa and the Board/Owners has seemingly broken down and the rot has set in.

Liverpool are now effectivly out of the Premiership and Champions league ( Although it wouldnt suprise me if they scraped through on luck) and the Clubs ability to raise cash for next year is restricted.

How many injuries now plague the team and what is there to look forward to???? Plus the owners are up to their necks in debt.

If a new manager and Finance are not brought in soon, Torres and Gerard will start to consider their future with the Team as the Vultures begin to circle.

Its going to be a difficult time for Liverpool over the next few months.

i agree. the situation at the club would be the same for whomever was manager.

the americans have effectively crippled us as a club. gerrard will stay and torres will be a loyal for a good few seasons.

like i said, this same team got us to our highest ever level last season and we lost the league cos of silly 0-0 draws when it was like the alamo but we just couldn't score, rather than us being miles behind chelsea, united, arsenal (who we beat last season).........so i don't believe it just goes crap overnight.

obviously confidence and form are at rock bottom and injuries don't help. no excuses though, it's not going well but i'm not calling for rafa's head.

as for the missing the champs league cash if we don't have a run, us and united have been in that situation before and it's not been an issue. the ownership situation is like a disease rotting away at the club, like you say, and needs to be sorted. i know gillett is openly touting for buyers.

without going over the top, until the owners sort this mess out, i.e. the promised but never delivered stadium and increasing debt, then we're unlikely to achieve anything.

Yes, but will Raffa want to stay with the Club??

The inconsistency of the team is not doing his reputation any favors.

Nobody wants to see the demise of Liverpool but the financial situation there is a lot worse than people think.

Gerrard and Torres may have to be sold if Finance or a new investor cant be found.

News of the World Exclusive!! Supposedly Dealing coke in a bar.

As Grego has stated thats the Tabloid scum for you...........

And his mum got knobbed by Jamie Carraghers brother at the world cup (John Terry)

Anyway, I fear for Rafa from both ends so to speak. Irrespective of the media or the Americans, of the lack of money - our record jumps out as too poor to sustain any manager at LFC what ever the reason & no doubt Madrid will be sniffing again soon.

That said I think & hope they will give him until the end of season top 4 places are decided - but if we keep on this form & I suspect Steve & Ferdando may be out for a few weeks yet, it could be goodbye at christmas.

Sorry but that's simply not the case...

Since Rick Parry left, Christian Purslow has come in, and has established a good relationship with Benitez. He's spent time in the states (educated at Harvard) and is a fluent Spanish speaker.

It has been suggested that he has acted as a bridge between the owners and Benitez, and more recently even between the two owners and each other.

Behind the scenes, the club has become closer in recent Months. despite what the media will say, in order to get a "story".
