The Footy... (2011-2012 season)

Did anyone see how just after Liverpool said they were going to offload Andy Carrol he decided to score a stoppage time goal to give Liverpool a win over Blackburn yesterday? He is just a magnet for wasting money on.

I still can't believe they actually did a full press conference to state that they would be selling Andy in the summer!

Damien Comolli has left the role of Director of Football at Livepool by mutual consent.

Stuart Downing's first assist of the season right there....

In a separate statement, LFC confirmed that as a result of Comolli's departure, Ian Ayre the MD is now 8th choice keeper for Saturday...

Got my tickets today for Wembley on Saturday , block 103 right by the pitch behind the dugout. Im nervous like I am with all derbys but I honestly think its gonna be another 3-0 possibly 4-0. Beating Blackburrn with 10men has come at the right time to stop the rot before with travel to Anfield South. Everton always fall to bits against us . Look when we beat them 3-0 other week. We were on a terrible run and Everton were unbeaten in 9. Fair enough they rested some players but you can only beat whats infront of you. We have beaten the blue****e twice with ease this season home and away scoring 5 goals and not conceading any.

You watch on Saturday! it will be embarrasing for the blues:p

Loving the confidence. The result against Blackburn came at the right time but hope it didn't take too much out of the players. In block 521!

Morbs, you coming down for the semifinal next week?

Just found out my application to sit with the Barca fans wasn't successful, AGAIN.
It was a 1 in 3 chance this time. Very gutted.

Still, maybe for the final in Munich i'll get it.. ;)

Come on Spurss!!! (or at least injury time and pens just so your players are even MORE tired for Wednesday night!)

Hellooo chaps !! :p

Hello stranger! Good to hear from you!

That semi looks good, could be very close. I'll be cheering on the Germans of course

I want Real to get to the final but i'm thinking Bayern will just knick it. Either way the return has the potential to be an epic IMO. I cant see you getting anything other than a win and a date in Germany, although I'd like Chelsea to win I dont see them having enough in the locker...

If Bayern do get through I'd love you to beat them in their own arena

Some quotes that I am sure that I have heard before.

'His transfer policy has ****ed us nearly beyond repair - dying cloggers on massive wages'

'Harry Redknapp looks like he might have left a huge trail of destruction and a horrible mess through his transfer policy.'

'if it were my decision, i'd sack him now'

'Harry Redknapp negatives:
-we have no system at all to fall on when the going gets tough
-no winning mentality
-4 years and we still have no free kick and corner routines
-aweful transfer policy '

'I'd be happy if he was sacked in the morning'

'we are in a bit of a mess, but then Redknapp is good at leaving clubs in a mess'

Got to love the old Spurs fans ain't ya.

what a difference a week makes?

probably too late though, especially now utd are prepared to cheat to win!!

I think the win on the weekend sealed the deal.

Spot on, ashley young should be ashamed of himself. They were his team mates last season.

Young should be ashamed of himself, but the some clubs get help from officials. ie the Wigan goal that was disallowed and the goal that was allowed to count against Spurs. This should be a clear example to FIFA why goal cameras are needed. The addition of goal cameras will not slow down matches.

goaline tech please. ball goes 'over the line', let play continue until its hoofed out of play, and call in a video ref to make a decision within 2mins. if a goal, kick off. if not, throw in/goalkick/corner.

if in doubt, benefit goes with defending team.

to say it stops he flow of the game is absolute arse, especially when you have players rolling around 20+ times in a game like they need a leg transplant. sort it the **** out fifa.

I agree, or the FA could implement goal line technology on it's own. It could be put in this off season and lead the world.

all prem games are broadcast live to somewhere on the planet. no excuses not to use the tv feed to assist in deciding if the ball is over the frigging line or not.

good result for the goons tonite too. ;)
