The Footy... (2011-2012 season)

"tackles" ? I suppose you could call them that

as for Jesus, not sure about that, he appears to be able to do miraculous things though and he does exist.

city fans are turning into their neighbours.

did a team turn up and try and mark their best player tightly, put a few hard tackles in, a few players rolling round on the floor....??

yes, we came and tried to stop city playing.....get used to it, a lot of teams will do the same thing.

you have no devine right to have teams just let you play...and i'm quite sure a few years ago city went to grounds of teams that had better players/more money/better team and tried to keep it tight and make tackles to upset the 'flair' players of the other team.

actually maybe you didn't cos a few years ago you were in league one.

as an aside and as a bit of support for Steve Kean. The bloke who wrote that article is a first class knob!!

hes blocked me on twitter because I suggested his surname was incorrectly spelt, ie there was an "n" missing.
I'm not a fan of the reporting of any of the Sun's core football team (the 2 Custises, Beasley, Irwin, Dillon, etc.) even though one of them is a mate. Too much based on hearsay, agent chatter, etc., and some of it actually made up (note the removal... finally!... of Ian McGarry last year)

spot on Morbs, but hey, why let a small matter like the truth get in the way of a good article ;)

city fans are turning into their neighbours - hardly, will never happen even if we replicate their success, we have too much class and remember all times, good and bad " we were there when we were ****"

did a team turn up and try and mark their best player tightly, put a few hard tackles in, a few players rolling round on the floor....?? - Cahill?

yes, we came and tried to stop city playing.....get used to it, a lot of teams will do the same thing - you can say that again

actually maybe you didn't cos a few years ago you were in league one - yes, remember it well unfortunately "we're not really here"

better response that is mate.....sorry if i got the wrong end of the stick, but the intial post about Rodwell came across all whingey 'how dare these upstarts tackle our players' type crap....

without wishing to open the debate again...you honestly think the cahill thing with kompany was bad from cahills view...?? i thought kompany tried to do him! and cahill has taken a knock for it......nearly missed the derby game and hasn't joined up with oz..

It's been rescinded

and rightly so.

now, where the **** is that referee? there should be a public apology from him.

the fact that Rodwell won't miss any games now is all well and good. but that doesn't help us against liverpool last saturday now does it!!?!

Im a fan of rodwell, and to be fair he was doing a ggod job on Silva, I think the only time he got away from him was when he latched onto Drenth's backpass and set up Milner

I think Komps genuinely jumped out of the way as Cahill was coming in hard, but when he was in the air probably thought Im not going to try and not land on you, so in a way he probably did do him.

"everyones talking about the Tevez saga"...............well yes they are, because you keep asking everyone!!!

C'mon JJ! Tevez made that story by being astonishingly well paid footballer refusing to play football. Everyone was talking about it regardless of which media outlets were hyping it.

Yeah but you can imagine the SSN editorial meeting

"ok whats the word from Man City?"

"ok we will roll that every 15 mins until we get some comments from anyone that can be bothered to talk to us"

"BREAKING NEWS.............some more people loosely associated with football give us their take on the Tevez saga"

its all crap...but then it is News International so why am I surprised?

And this is different from any other tabloid media story how? Apart part from Tevez's behaviour being genuinely shocking?

your missing the point, Tevez' behaviour was abhorrent, I hope he has fooked off back to Buenos Aries for good!

I was saying I am starting to get hacked off with SSN because I have recently noticed that they are getting more and more like a tv version of a trashy tabloid, I used the recent tevez stunt as an example of what I meant.

Ahh, I see, I only see SSN now and again at my footy club so I have no idea of any change in their M.O.

Glad to see that Rodwells red card has been withdrawn.

Now will Martin Atkinson please be given a fine as a result for being completely sh!te at his job.

at the very least he should be demoted from the prem games for a few matches...

The refs have really been annoying me this season. When i watched you guys versus Man City the week before last 3 yellows were shown within the first 20ish mins and i wouldnt have said any of them were worthy of it. Ruining the game!
