The drumsheds

I think they need to install a footbridge across the road from the station to the venue and its not unreasonable to expect Drumsheds to contribute to this cost. Brings the road network to a complete standstill during events and I'm not surprised local residents are putting pressure on the authorities.

I do have some sympathies with the operation to get people inside. It's a mammoth task and the time I went this winter, the crowd waiting did themselves absolutely no favours by being rude, impatient cretins.

Saw on Reddit a few horror stories from recent events at Drumsheds around security measures and huge queues to get in. Transpires the police & council have forced extra conditions on their license.
A mate was in this queue for over 2 hours, no access to toilets or water was an absolute nightmare. 2 people have died in the last 2 months and one stabbing ... Future is bleak

First time I’ve ever had this - but Spotify offered me free tickets for either Friday or Saturday Resistance at Drumsheds this weekend…

Tickets are around 20 quid for both days on swap and theres LOADS of them. Techno is not popular enough in london to fill these massive venues out.

If it was the keinemusik boys or a hot creations type thing then yeah. Harder techno is relegated to smaller venues like fold

Yeah agree I think Printworks was the perfect size for them and would fill up, Drumsheds is basically more than double the size.

Got tickets for the Leftfield + Sven Vath night in November, will see if that gets busy enough!

My ticket for Bugged Out/Tresor says I need to be in the venue by 5pm. What happens if I’m late?
I think if it's a little over you'll be ok.

My friend will also be late due to parenting issues, she messaged them and said she'd be ok. Maybe just message them if you think you'll be much later than 5 so you at least have their email confirmation.

I've been pretty cold on Drumsheds in the past, but I wasn't really being fair.

Turns out, all I needed to do was go when there was decent music, a crowd with an average age of 40 and when it's at 50-60% capacity.

It was enough to convince me to rally the troops for Bugged Out Weekender in March

Had a great time too.

Was a bit annoyed at the last minute set times change. Was very confused to hear Dave Clarke play that set then realised it was actually DJ Stingray, When he eventually came on I loved it. Still not 100% sure of that new set up in Y Room with the DJ in the middle but round the back there was more room and the sound was good.

Was disappointed Sama pulled out last minute. Young Marco and the other DJ were not the best replacement. Thankfully Sven again saved the day, even if 1h30m is way too short. The sound was definitely better in that X room than other years. Felt louder and crisper.

Toilets not being on the bottom floor also pleased lots of my friends.
