Tell us how it was - Ibiza 2025

We were looking to goto salinas on the Sunday after Harvey at 528 but obviously put off the fact no dj at Sa Trinxa anymore. Is it still worth going over there?

Free tix for events you say 😜
Yes it is a bummer, and really, what difference does it make, a few extra people dancing? Who cares. Such a silly rule. Still love the place I feel nostalgic of years past just being there. Hope they can sort it out

Dates you were there: 15-16 August

Where you stayed: Hotel Buenavista - Santa Eularia - loved it!! everytime I go I try to stay in different areas/places...really cute bohemian chill vibes hotel, nice people, pool, and good breakfast in the lovely garden!

Club nights visited: ANTS @ Ushuaia

Best night: well I only went for ANTS, especially to see Boris Brejcha, was looking forward to see him finally as I think his music is a bit different! just before him Andrea Oliva never disappoints...and then Boris took over and such a cool set🔥 some of his hits and some IDs...he was throwing a few of the ducks with the mask on, really wanted oneee but no luck 🐣 now, i didn't love the crowd, but what can we do lol, i just focused on the music and my little happy space!

Worst night: 0

Best bar: Ushuaia bar? lol...as usual amazing prices...oh well!
anyways, went to the small bar in Cala LLenya for a beer and a sandwich; the staff was very nice and funny, even though it was crazy busy, really appreciate positivity in people working in hospitality, as i used to work at hotels and i know how hard it is sometimes to be smiley and have patience with certain people!

Best place to eat: my cute little breakfast at the hotel ☀️

Best beach and/or beach club: went to Cala LLenya, nice beach, love the red cliffs on the free side of the beach (always fav side)...the water was super warm!

Money spent: mmm the usual lol

Biggest regret: no regretsssssss

Going back?: next stop September for a few days 🥰

Top tip: need to remember to always get some cash with me as not all the buses you can pay by card...keep forgetting it!

Observations and/or conclusion: especially this summer im booking all these very little breaks, and when i book the "new one" i wonder, is it worth it im gonna be there just for a few hours...and when im there i remember myself why i do this...and theres no doubts💖 I know ibiza is changing but you can still enjoy it in your own way, so yes, book that flight and go! money will come back ✨

Dates you were there:
25th Aug - 3rd Sept [10 days]

Where you stayed:
The Twiins, north pdb [all inclusive]

Club nights visited:
Tue: Cova santa
Wed: pikes
Thur: chinois [deep house] + pacha [defected]
Sat: 528 [dj harvey]
Sun: Hi [gliterbox]
Mon: universe [prydz closing]
Tues: 528 [pikes presents] + pacha [camelphat]

Best night:
528 was probably top due to crowd vibe, energy and interaction. Pikes as well. Tbh most the nights where enjoyable in their own way.

Worst night:
Universe, just too crowded and felt a bit of a shed inside with no soul anymore.

( See https://forum.ibiza-spotlight.com/t...unvrs-2025-reviews-reports.82176/post-1126896 )

Best bar:
I don't actually drink, so the only one I visited was Ibiza boat bar next to the hotel when had a drink and chat with stivi.

Best place to eat:
I had all inclusive at hotel so didn't eat out. I also have particular diet so buffet suits me. Also I'm type to eat to live, not live to eat 😆

Best beach and/or beach club:
Didn't really do beach as I can't spend more than 30 mins in sun. But the little harbour beach thing in front of the hotel was decent.

Money spent:
Hotel + flights + transfers 1 person : £3000 ouch.

Tickets: approx £300

Taxies + Drinks etc: €1000, of which €700 was what broughy back from my 2022 ibiza holiday 😄

Biggest regret:
Never long enough is it. Towards end get back into a groove you don't want to come out of.

Also missing meeting up with some people, either because I had a crash day and went to bed at 9pm or just couldn't find them in club. Such is life 😂

Going back?:

Possibly, see what happens either this or next year.

Top tip:
Having rest days is nice, but if only doing a few days get why not possible.

Not drinking really improves the experience for me, none of that hangover or post alcohol depression a day after. Also helps when doing 2 things on same day. Was nice to wake up each day feeling good, admittedly a bit tired from 3 hours sleep some days. 😴

Starting conversations with people at venues, you never know who will become your new ibiza friends 😃 (but avoid talking to people who are completely wasted or just a bad vibe. They become energy sponges🧽 )

Instead of using rusty and broken hotel gym equipment, I joined the nirvana gym in pdb. €55 for a week and pretty good equipment. 💪

I know money is a factor when on holiday in ibiza, but I tried to tip taxi drivers a bit more. Especially when you consider a lot of journeys are less than a mixer in the clubs. Might only be a €5-10 to you, but will make the other persons day a bit better. 🙏
This also goes to local bars or restaurants if you visit.

Observations and/or conclusion:
You can definitely feel things are changing. The conversion of some venues to more Vegas style entertainment has made them less engaging, people packed in and unable to interact as much.

Besides the obvious big nights the rest felt kinda under critical mass, cova santa, chinois, pacha for defected, 528 etc weren't that busy with either having lots of space or reduced areas that weren't open. It's a shame 528 doesn't have rest open like old zoo where could wander around. (I realise burning man was week I was here, but I don't think its just this week specific from what hear)

Also it felt foot traffic was lighter, but that might have just been time of day i was passing.

As mentioned elsewhere on forum perhaps its too many nights with clubs running a full weekly program. Perhaps venues doing less nights open and not all on same day might help.

Also I think there is perhaps a gap in the market for more daytime clubbing. A bit like Ushuaia, afternoon start and finish before midnight.

There is cova santa and 528, but i mean more like the regular club events. Pacha doing defected 4pm to 10pm might be interesting, dance inside in darkness, come out to terrace and garden in daylight could be uplifting, or perhaps seeing everyone on it is why we have nighttime clubbing 🤣

A few people I spoke to didn't really like the hard slog of early hours clubbing, but had no choice to see certain events (death dance march we called it)

Getting taxies wasn't a problem at all, longest wait was to get back from 528, and that was 10 mins.

Overall I think we are close to an inflection point. Perhaps the flashy commercial nights will keep going, but hopefully there is diversification.

Making an event about watching something is fine, but don't they realise what makes ibiza magical is the interaction of the club goers. Dancing together, chatting random crap with random people.

Anyhow I'm sure I have more thoughts but I gotta go pack a suitcase 😫

Dates you were there: ·31 Aug - 2 Sept

Where you stayed: Hotel Cenit in Figuretas, we stay here every year, it's a great hotel with immaculate, well-appointed rooms and fantastic sea views. The staff are super helpful and friendly

Club nights visited: Saga at Chinois - first time at this club, and we were really impressed. The decor is beautiful and the sound system, wow! One of the best I've heard. Special mention should go to the staff who were very polite and friendly, which is not always the case in Ibiza clubs. The line-up was right up my street- Robin M, Tripolism and Bedouin - all of which were fantastic. We bought the €45 tickets from Spotlight, which are great value as you get three drinks included with each ticket (including mixed drinks) bargain!

Circo Loco at DC10 - The terrace was stupidly busy with quite a high wanker quotient (people pushing through the crowd with little or no regard for anyone else). The main room, on the other hand, had plenty of room to dance, and the crowd were better than the terrace. The guy who played until 1 pm was rubbish (I can't remember his name). After him, though every one was really good and the music was fab.

Best night: Saga at Chinois, we absolutely loved it!

Worst night: None

Best bar: Didn't go to any, did pre-club drinks in the room

Best place to eat: The Skinny Kitchen in Figuretas, we love this place; it's a great setting right on the beach, and the food is delicious.

Best beach and/or beach club: Didn't hit the beach as we only had two days.

Money spent: Too much, as per usual.

Biggest regret: Not staying longer; however, my wife and I are looking to do a cheeky one-night-only flying visit later in September without booking a hotel. Just fly in, dance, then fly home. We have done this a few times, and it feels a bit naughty in a good way!

Going back?: Of course! I've been coming to Ibiza once or twice a year since 1988.

Top tip: Go to Chinois, it's a beautiful club and the €45 tickets with three drinks included are really good value.

Observations and/or conclusion: Early September is a good time to go, after the mayhem of August, it's a bit more chilled.

Just some thoughts on the events while waiting to go to airport

Club nights visited:
Tue: Cova santa
Really liked the venue, good crowd as well. Issue was the humidity on that night which really hits you hard. Definitely one worth visiting again. Numbers wise it never really got proper busy, but that gives you space to do your thing.

Wed: pikes
First time to pikes and met up with @gutsy who was staying there with his missus Jo. Showed me around and had a blast. The main room filled up quite quickly and became too much for me (I need personal space 😆). The room next door was more manageable.

Also chilled outside for a bit and talked to randoms. Met a bunch from Nottingham who where flying home that morning. One of the group, Danny, was a great character 🕺

Thur: chinois [deep house] + pacha [defected] Went to "chin-waa" for the deep house, first time there. Music and venue was nice, the 3 drinks in ticket price is well worth it. However I seemed to confuse the bar tender by only wanting soft drinks 🤣

After a few hours I decided for a scene change, mainly because it wasn't really that busy, so quick walk around corner to pacha.

I like pacha and first time been since the dj booth move. Musically right up my street, but again not very busy. Dance floor full but not packed, rest of venue practically empty. Little sad to see.

I also bumped into Danny again, who was supposed to have flown home 🫣. So we hung out while he talked to random people like he knew them, to the confusion and bemusement of them. Such an ibiza thing 😄

Sat: 528 [dj harvey]
First time since it changed to 528. Still has the same great vibe zoo project had with a great crowd.

Due to a series of improbable events, I got to the venue later than anticipated, and whe sat down on the back wall I had the sun in my eyes. So I moved to only remaining spot in the shade.

as a result ended up chatting to a Scottish couple (Luke keely), and after 10 minutes it clicked we where staying at the same hotel 😁. We became holiday buddies and did other clubbing nights together.

musically the event was good, however I wish there where more people so the rest of the areas where open.

we tried the club room for an hour, but then decided sleep was a good idea.

Sun: Hi [Gliterbox]
I haven't done Glitterbox since space days so interesting to see what its like now.

Musically didn't really hit the spot, and I remembered why I hate the theatre room when its packed. The sound/lighting booth really causes a pinch point. But guess having it in middle of vip on 1st floor is a no go.

crowd as good and club room and outside decent.

Mon: universe [prydz closing]
see my review elsewhere.

Tues: 528 [pikes presents] + pacha [camelphat]
Last night out.
Wasn't intending to do b2b, but i had convinced the Scottish couple to go back to 528, who then had to convince me back to go 🤣

Again a great crowd and music. Much more packed than on Tuesday. Towards end of outside part the heat really started to hit hard. Some big fans would be great to help out.

Also again shame rest of areas not open.

After a quick hotel stop to change out of sweaty gear we headed to pacha. It was first time for the Scottish couple.

Arrived about 1am and quickly upgraded to vip for €50 each. (The bit to left of funky room)
this turned out to be a good move as the place ended up rammed.

Musically I was fine with it, but Luke found the first 3 hours before camelphat a bit slow and repetitive.

I also finally made it to the garden chill area! Nice place to relax. Although was warm outside.

Actually pacha seems to be the only club that has properly functional air con. Inside was a good temp for dancing.

Lastly the terrace outside was curtained off. I don't know if this is just how it is and the garden area is where supposed to go, but loved been higher up and looking out when chatting to people.

Luke and Keely really loved pacha, thought it was up there with the best clubs.

Anyhow that's it. Pickup in a minute.

Until next time 🕺

Have reluctantly accepted I’ll struggle to make it back for a third time this year, so here goes…

Dates you were there: July 5-12; August 31-September 3

Where you stayed: Airbnbs; the first time in the south, the second near Ibiza Town

Club nights visited: July 5-12, Black Coffee at Hi; Nick Warren and Hernan Cattaneo at Cova Santa; Groove Armada at 528; Nicolas Sasson’s Bazar at Playa Soleil; Music On at Pacha; August 31-Sep 3, Andrea Oliva’s All I Need at Playa Soleil to Bedouin at Chinois; Les Castizos’ Raices at Playa Soleil to Camelphat at Pacha

Best night: July 5-12, Black Coffee at Hi. I accept that might be an unpopular choice on this forum but we (both trips were just me and my girlfriend) joined the dance floor shortly before 1am so found some space near the front and stayed put until close. DJeff then Manoo complemented Black Coffee perfectly (it was like one like seven-hour set, instead of one of those nights where the earlier DJs feel disconnected and/or afterthoughts from the headliner), they then joined him again for the second half of his set, and we could also see how much all three were enjoying themselves throughout. Our Airbnb wasn’t going to be available until early in the afternoon, so we went to the beach to watch the sun come up, she had a dip in the sea, and then we dozed off for a couple of hours. Magic, really.

August 31-September 3, Saga at Chinois, but we also had a really good night at Camelphat at Pacha.

Worst night: It’s one of two, for very different reasons (which seems harsh on the first of these). Groove Armada at 528. The vibes on the dance floor were very good — and most people were dancing, which meant far fewer phones — and, as ever, they were very good from Andy Cato and Tom Findlay. But I thought their set was an attempt to be all things to all people; I still enjoyed it, but seeing them at Fabric remains one of the best nights I’ve ever had on account of the sets they delivered that night (and of course, their good vibes), and so I couldn’t help but be a bit disappointed by comparison.

The other, which we ultimately still enjoyed but which had fewer redeeming features, was Music On, which I perhaps ought to have seen coming on the grounds of Rufus du Sol being on before Marco Carola. We found ourselves some space at the front of one of the balconies before they started, but the place was very busy and, I don’t know if it was like this because of how many people were in there or because of the nature of the crowd RdS attracts, but it just wasn’t as fun as it could have been. I couldn’t see a great deal of dancing on the dance floor (I assume I could see plenty of phones but I can’t actually remember) and, in the moments where the music was quieter, I could actually hear the murmur of lots of people speaking on the dance floor. None of this stopped us dancing, but, frankly, it wouldn’t have mattered that much anyway if RdS had been on form — we just didn’t think they were very good. MC was better later in the evening, and the energy picked up.

Best bar: Playa Soleil. We don’t have much of a pre-drinking game ‘cause we typically start at one of the parties at Playa Soleil or, as with Black Coffee and Music On, if we expect a crowded night, we get to the venue earlier than we otherwise might. But Playa Soleil’s a really good looking venue and sitting outside having a drink until heading into the back room has always suited us nicely.

Best place to eat: Los Rosales in Bossa Beach. By Ibiza’s standards it’s very reasonably priced without the food being disappointing. The barbecued meat buffet is also ideal preparation for anyone planning to wear their dancing shoes all night long.

Best beach and/or beach club: I wouldn’t go as far as to say it’s the best beach in Ibiza but the sunrise and swim at Bossa I previously mentioned is my favourite memory from an Ibiza beach.

Money spent: I honestly don’t know. I’m not sure I want to, either.

Biggest regret: I might have planned one or two nights out slightly differently, but the reality is we more than enjoyed both trips.

Going back?: Yes. Time and time again.

Top tip: At the risk of sounding like a broken record, try one of Playa Soleil’s parties as a pre-party party. Over the course of the two trips we saw Les Castizos, Nicolas Sasson and Andrea Oliva. It was our first time hearing the first two of those but they were good, and we also enjoyed Andrea Oliva. I’ve previously found Rumors there a little crowded, but there’s otherwise typically more than enough room to dance — if anything, I think the nights there deserve to attract bigger numbers. The sound system’s very good, and you can also get wristbands for free entry before midnight.

I’d also recommend Chinois, a good venue with good DJs that I also think deserves a bigger crowd. We’d a really good night at Saga.

Observations and/or conclusion: We haven’t yet been to UNVRS — we were going to go to Carl Cox and the Chemical Brothers but haven’t been sold on it by what we’ve seen and heard and also knew we’d enjoy Saga — but if it’s the reason some places seem as crowded as they have previously then it’s been a positive addition to the island.

Kaoz theory (Kerri chandler) rather than ‘deep house’ maybe?🤣. Shocked it wasn’t busy that date with Sally C and Gerd on the line up!!

Sounds mental hearing things like ‘it wasn’t really that busy’ for multiple venues in Aug! I suppose it is the week after the bank hol in uk which could play a part? Dunno

When I read these “it wasn’t that busy” comments, I’m starting to think that hopefully September-October won’t be the new July-August. 😅 The season has been getting longer year after year and a local friend of mine told me last year that he encountered a lot of people in October who were there specifically because the “club season” was over and the weather was much nicer. Maybe it was a coincidence, but it could also be a sign of a change in tourism strategy. 🤷‍♂️

Yeah the weather might be pushing people to start and end of season tbf.

When it hits 40c and high humidity its defo not that much fun. You end up hiding in air conditioned room 🥵

Until next time 🕺
you’re not that mysterious after all 😂.
thanks for taking the time to post your experiences👍

Club nights visited: Carl Cox UNVRS, Circo Loco DC10, Pikes @ 528

Best night: Tough one, all equally brilliant in their own way. No complaints

Worst night: Wasn’t really the worst night, but was disappointed Paul Woolford was late for Pikes @ 528 and was 2-4 inside rather than outside.

Best bar: Didn’t really go to any Bars of note.

Best place to eat: Tapas, San An. Finally made it after a few attempts. Brilliant food at very fair prices IMO. Also ate at Bar Rocks, Tulp, Bay Bar, Que Pasa (San An) - couldn’t complain about any.

Best beach and/or beach club: Didn’t go to any.

Money spent: Without flights about £500 each. I did miss my flight home which added on a £120 taxi home in the UK

Biggest regret: Missing my flight home despite being in the airport 2 hours before ! And maybe not staying until the end at 528. Maybe would have liked another day to actually get over to Bossa or Ibiza Town

Going back?: Yes. Time and time again.

Top tip: We usually go September and I’d be more tempted to hold my nerve and book late. We rebooked our accommodation and saved about 30% by doing so 2 weeks before. Also our flights were about half the price at the same point. (easyJet Gatwick)

Observations and/or conclusion: Very good tidy trip. Definitely notice younger British crowd favouring O Beach etc. A lot more Americans as well and find they aren’t that used to European clubbing so have to deal with some ‘quirks’ in clubs.

Taxis felt a lot easier this year both from ranks & clubs

you fell asleep at Airport?

No! It looks like my flight wasn’t that busy, normally I aim to get a gate for closing (30mins before scheduled departure) - in this instance got there 3 minutes late to find it had fully boarded, doors shut and they’d got an early slot so left! Ended up departing 15 minutes early.

Bit embarrassing as I fly very regularly for work and never had anything like that happen. Luckily could use air miles to get a BA flight to Heathrow for £45

i’m often one of the last to board, ive no idea why. I just don’t look at the screens every 2 minutes 😂

Dates you were there: Sunday 7th September - Saturday 13th September

Where you stayed:
Back at the loft apartment overlooking Vara de Rey / Plaza del Parque in Ibiza Town

Club nights visited:

Sunday: DJ Tennis and Bedouin Saga Chinois.

Our friends arrived quite late so we chose Chinois as its walking distance from our apartment and we arrived around 0130 and after a bit of a faff with the door staff who were pretty unhelpful we got in and had backstage access guestlist (not that we really went backstage). DJ Tennis wasn’t at his best for me with a lot of jazzy house stuff but we all ended up having quite a laugh until our friend lost her Iphone and fair play to the security at Chinois as they actually did radio around and amazingly someone had handed it in. We probably caught around 40 minutes of Bedouin and they were decent enough with a much heavier sound that I preferred to what Tennis had played but maybe the b2b would have been better?

Monday: Pikes for I Love Mondays.

We went with a different set of friends who had never been to Pikes and we stayed for a couple of hours from around 2330. Not sure who was playing in Freddie’s or Plaza Mayor but it was decent enough and our friends enjoyed the venue as a first taste.

Tuesday: Jimi Jules with Camelphat at Pacha.

We got (€30) early entry tickets with drinks pack so was in from just after 2315 and it was quite busy on the dancefloor with the warm up DJ (Fabrice) was going hell for leather like it was 4am which was quite irritating/amusing. There was also a movie / reality TV show being filmed in part of the VIP area which was quite distracting at times.

We had bagged a spot on the upstairs balcony next to balcony VIP and Camelphat started just after midnight with Jimi Jules playing some nice deep house track but Camelphat didn’t really stick to that plan and spent most of the night pissing about with the volume turning it down very low to accentuate the drops (we starting booing them later on in the night for doing this). But the crowd was good with space to dance and we had fun with our friends and it was nice to see some of the improvements to Pacha from our visit in 2024. Also we were pleased that there was a lot of non-VIP seating areas available and open and therefore no problems with moving around the upstairs of the club. Left around 5am after a decent night. Pushed on until around 8am at home and then went to Cala Llonga and spent all afternoon until it got dark on the beach next to our friends hotel and headed home at midnight with no clubbing planned.

Thursday: Defected at Pacha with Groove Armada (and Hannah Wants amongst others)

This was a lot of fun even though we were feeling pretty jaded and we entered early to activate the drinks pack deal even though we had guestlist. We managed to bag some more mushroom chocolate (see July report) and this made everything hilarious for the first couple of hours and again we bagged the upstairs balcony opposite the DJ booth. Music was actually really good apart from Pump Up the Jam being played four times and a few singalong crowd pleasers but this was worth it to see a young, up for it and best of all very polite and respectful young crowd loving life. Pacha has always been our favourite Ibiza club and this gave me some hope that it will continue to thrive with a younger crowd with the somewhat affordable ticket and drinks deals. That being said there were plenty of older punters like us (>50s) including a couple there with their son. In the end we stayed until 0545 which was a great effort even if I do say so myself.

Friday: no clubbing … met other friends in Figueretes and then back to Ibiza Town for some pizza and a “balcony” session interrupted by the potential of friends returning to our apartment when their EasyJet 2345 flight was cancelled and we offered emergency accommodation.

Sat: checked out at 12 and went to Talamanca beach for the day before picking our bags up and heading to airport at 1730.

Best night: Defected at Pacha

Worst night: Bedouin Saga …. Club was quite empty and first night is a tricky one but I’d go back and give it another go.

Best bar: Our friends stayed at One Ibiza Suites in Figueretes and we had drinks on the roof which was quite nice.

Best place to eat: We hardly ate out at all but our friends brought us some left over prawns from La Bodega which were amazing the next day after a spliff.

Best beach and/or beach club: Cala Llonga was great and 4 beds for €20 beats Talamanca at €30 for 2!

Money spent: Maybe £3.5k (saved a lot of money by being on guestlist and not eating out as ongoing financial challenges but realise this is still a lot!)

Biggest regret: we lost a lot of Tuesday day due to the “storm” that never really happened but at least it cleared the oppressive humidity. Being with friends the whole time meant we probably interacted with randoms a bit less than normal.

Going back?: Next Tuesday for Cocoon at 528 due to a very spontaneous decision made a few weeks back. Knowing we were coming back maybe helped us enjoy this trip more for some reason.

Top tip: Try a night you wouldn’t normally go to (Defectee for us) as it was best night of the trip

Observations and/or conclusion:

We had a really fantastic time with lots of laughs with friends we don’t get to spend enough time with for various reasons and actually felt really relaxed coming home despite some ongoing challenges in our personal lives. We avoided all TNL venues but everywhere was busy enough to have a good night and we’d do a similar six night stay in September 2026.
