Sunsets - how do you "do" them?

well each to their own.
I really dont need to defend why peeps clap at the sunset. it has been like this for ages and I think it´s sweet anda nice thing to celebrate each evening and to have a mutual experience. its all the smaller tihngs in life that schould be appreciated.......it´s that simple.

Believe me ppl never used to clap at sunset

*sound of Babs going into garden with glass of wine to watch sunset and clap*

well for those 5 years in a row I´ve been there, there has been clapping, so it´s a regular at the strip. Agreed: I thought it was "funny" or "odd" in the beginning, but as long as it doesnt harm anyone - and peeps who don´t like it can visit coastline/the other one´s nearby or on the other end of the island if they prefer.......

stay positive......

I once howled at the moon, but never clapped at a sunset.

But that was a heavy night.

LOL... What happened after?

I suddenly realised that the moon was actually the oncoming headlight of an approaching police car.

Since then i never accept "presents" from old friends in clubs.

actually, I think a lot of the clapping has to do with the DJ playing as the sun descends really, and I think it´s a part of the "show" or whatever you´d call it.......

If you think sunsets are the same everywhere, come here to Canada and tell me that.

It is totally each their own. I personally do not let a little thing like clapping get to me when I look around I'm on hols, with my friends and in IBIZA!!! It is bloody Ibiza. Like it has been said, if you don't like it, then you can go somewhere else. There's too many ppl for it to be the other way around, for those of you who don't like the clappers. There are always lovers and haters of anything and everything in this world. Ibizan sunsets and the clappers who enjoy them is just another...

See you all on the white isle.

no me neither, if you get annoyed with people who have a mutual positive outburst on a beach, whilst watching the sun descend - then one might want to look at oneself and see if there are any "inner" issues that needs dealed with - if something as simple and "commercial" "anticool" clapping can piss you off!

I am gonna bang my 2 girlie hands together and raise my glass towards the sun and embrase the fact that I´ll be Ibiza, am smiling, alive, healthy and well! Now if you cant celebrate that - what the hell CAN you celebrate!

8O 8O
I think most of us who are annoyed by the clapping hands said we "do the sunsets" somewhere far from the strip.

then it cant possible bother anyone if they already are far away, right?

personally I like the strip, i think its the best place to watch the sun descend because I love the fact that there are lot of happy faces around.
But sometimes watching it from Kumharas or a secluded beach is really nice also.

I just like to be surrounded by happy peeps who share a mutual passion for the island and its many possibilities.

THe thing is that this post it wasn't about the strip yes, the strip no. It was about how we do the sunset.
Some people said: I go away from the strip because of the clapping hands.
And some other people said: If you don't like the clapping go somewhere else.

It's just stupid 8O 8O

well true.
I just think it´s a good thing that there are choises - gives the newbies on this board a better impression of what they get depending on where they go - so before this gets into a rediculous "clap or not clapping" - let´s just say there are places for every type of person....
