Sunday Night Now that We Love has gone?

I went to my first We Love in 2001 and have been most years since. Last year I did Elrow, Cox, and the Closing Party at Space but not We Love which tells you something. This year,as last year, it has to be Solomun.
^^ I wouldnt say space is falling off more a case of we love has run its course at the club. Nothing lasts forever and we love had a good run at space. From the sounds of it the party lost its attraction for a lot of people. That is nothing to do with space and everything to do with the promoters and also people wanting a different experience. A few years ago there was no sankeys let alone lawler having a successful sunday party. There was also no solomun at pacha. When you have this much choice clubs will always struggle to fill up. Space and we love pretty much had a free run of things for a long time on a sunday.

Sorry but i just don't agree! The reason that We Love... is over now is BECAUSE We Love paved the way for the other parties at Space and made Space the No1/2 club in the World! We now have Elrow/Kehakuma, Cox, ENTER..... Three World class nights that are almost as big as We Love (Cox and ENTER definitely so). + so so many other great tech nights.
We Love was to Ibiza what "Thriller" by Michael Jackson was to Pop Music. It did things nobody else did before it and it took people years to catch up.
"We Love Space Sundays".... This was what some in the queue said those years ago and gave it its name.
We Love was all there was on a Sunday. Now we have so much choice because Ibiza has become so big. And We Love helped that. We Love at Space has finished because We Love helped create a massive scene....

If We Love will will hang all their big Smiley signs of Space into Sankeys, than that place will allready be full without even all the thousands of people coming in

I agree with you Mr Why, I am gutted there is no more 'We Love' on at Space on a Sunday, it was one of the main nights that me & my friends go to Ibiza for & have done for years, Sundays in Ibiza just wont be the same again, I hope Space no what they are doing & as for the problem not being with Space, more the promoters, why didn't they just get new promoters & as for people wanting something different, I don't know anyone that does, it was always 'We Love Space, on a Sunday, its one of the main things Ibiza is known for, its legendary! xxx

Exactly DJ Pedro! that place is a sweatbox at the best of times, totally two different types of club, 'We Love' at Sankeys, I really don't think its going to work but heyho, I could be wrong xxx

The promoters are the ngt. They make the bookings ect. It is there ngt. If you change promoter you change the ngt and thats not what the we love fan wants. They have a memory of what sundays at space was all about and like it or not last season it was not what is was years ago. Unfortunately people do want something different now. If they didnt they wouldnt be flocking to sankeys to see lawler or pacha to see solomun. Dont get me wrong if we love could recreate what they had then i am sure people would come flocking back. But the laws wont allow for that.
I completely agree with you that we love space sundays was a very popular party and one of the things ibiza was known for. But we love now isnt we love of years gone by. Its another nail in the coffin for the old school die hard ibiza veterans making way for the shuffling youth.

Well were all entitled to our own opinion, you have yours & i have mine, wouldn't do, everyone agreeing on the same thing, still stand by what I said, plus, a lot of the younger generation, who are planning their first trip to ibiza, looked forward to sundays at space, beause they have heard how good it was from us Ibiza veterans, who year after year went there, the issue here isn't Sankey's, nobody said it was, Sankey's is an amazing club, I think you have maybe misunderstood what we have said, if Sankeys do well with 'We Love' fair play to them! x

Bonny I am in the same camp as you. I also love we love and what it bought to space on a sunday. Not having the party there this year is an end to an era. Much like when manumission called it a day. We love moving from space means we have lost an iconic ngt in terms of what it meant to ibiza. I sincerely hope they make it a success at sankeys and will make sure i attend when im there to check it out. I actually think they will do a great job.
The point i was trying to make was we love moving should not in anyway reflect badly on space as a club. Also this is what happens when there are too many options for people on the same ngt. You end up with watered down attendances because we are spread all over the island. We love sankeys is going to experience this same problem with paradise at dc10 and hyte at amnesia on the same ngt. Lets hope for the sake of we love and what it means to us they beat of the competition
