Sun bed or fake tan?

Tans are hot. The best ones though are natural, lay-out-in-sun tans. And they're free!

Oh wait. Most people here live in England. Well I guess tanning beds will have to suffice.

Obviously real sunshine is best but still not good for you and has massive health risks.......

....i think spraytan is the way forward. Not all the time but if you're going out for something special or going away for a weekend somewhere then its a great idea.

Those spray tans are like the most amazing thing ever, you would have to fry your skin in sun beds time after time after time to get the same effect. Sun beds are simply not worth the risk.

Who cares if their bad for you. What, you don't smoke, drink excessively, do drugs, drive too fast or have promiscious sex?

You could argue though that

You have to drink to get drunk
You have to take drugs to get high
You have to drive fast to drive fast although doing it at tracks is obviously a lot safer than on the road....

Having unprotected promiscuous sex is just silly and theres no need not to be safe

Tanning though is a bit different to the other examples as you could argue that achieving 99% the same effect by a safe method (spraying) is far preferilbe to exposing yourslef to the risk that UV tanning gives. There is a choice with tanning where as with drink, drugs, driving fast you have to do them to achieve the end result.

It's not the same as the real tan. I can tell at a twenty-foot distance who got the bottle and who has the real thing.

Yea and you can tell miles off who's been on the beds and who has been on holiday :?
I think i would rather have a spray on tan and people speculate on wether its sprayed on than run a high risk of getting skin cancer.
The arguement for 'it doent matter about risk X because i have a higher risk of getting run over tommorrow' etc runs on and on but that doent mean you should expose yourself to uneccessary risks for the sake of it.

After seeing the state of my friends leg when they cut a cancerous mole from her thight 2 years ago - I stopped using sun beds - its not just the mole they remove its a fair bit of tissue too - not a good look. Stick to the fake imo. Ask Ibiza Girlie about this - she had a traumatic time last year if I remember rightly with worrying moles.......

On holiday I am now a factor 12 puppy instead of factor 2 for the first week and and plain baby oil for the rest of the holiday..... besides wrinkles from the sun are just not pretty - do you really want to look like Judith Chalmers in ten years time? :D

I wish i could give up the sunbeds but i cant,i like being brown, and i cant afford fake tan and i cant reach my back..booo

like who?

dont fancy my mum doing it 8O

not just that last time i used fake tan i had an allergy all over my body 8O

try another one. maybe yr allergic to a certain substance in that one u used. do a test on yr arm with a dab or something.

Definitely best to just stick with your normal colour. Pale and interesting is incredibly sexy, far more so than a 'I've been tangoed' look.

Sunbeds are a definite no-no, unless you want to kill yourself. I'm not really a fan of fake tan and imo, it looks just that - fake. Some brands do a decent job, but too much just looks awful.

It's funny how we all want what we don't have. One of my friends is tanned (naturally) and gorgeous and she goes on about how she wishes she had paler skin like me!
