Stamina

Couldn't have put that better myself Olly, i can still smash it for a few days with no sleep. it's when i stop that's the problem. i think that's why i carry on for as long as possible sometimes to delay the hangover/comedown.

Honestly, if you are ever feeling sluggish, get a bottle of Buckfast Tonice Wine (chilled preferabbly) and drink it in under 10 minutes.

There isn't a narcotic on Ibiza that can provide the charge that it does, mix it with some other stimulants and you'll never go to sleep. A tried and trusted method of every Glaswegian who has ever been to the White Isle

That wasn't the case for me back in 2010. Had a horrific hangover all day so bought a bottle of Buckfast, had 1 sip followed by vomiting and a nose bleed!

Where do people tend to go out if they do a night in bars - i.e. a night off?

Asked in another thread about preclubbing - but what is a good alternative?

Looking for some decent bars with some life, good fun, but not full of Brits Abroad -

Watched some videos of San Antonios west end and slightly terrifies me.......

Me and my mates are 32/33....

West End is good place for cheap drinks to tank up before a night (or if you like Trance, then Tropi bar is good on the nights on or off).
Itaca \ Ibiza Rocks \ Orange Corner are good bars

Yeah, Ibiza Town by the port in the shadow of Dalt Vila. Fantastic spot for people watching, full of atmosphere! Really strong cocktails. I love it!

Disco parades pass through as well, so entertainment is provided. You can easily chill here although the tempo is upbeat.

Ibiza Rocks and Itaca (inside or upstairs) have some good nights. We had one of our best nights at Ibiza Rocks last year when Doorly was playing, would have been pleased to have paid to be in there that night. Good club when they close everything off, a decent sound system and quality tunes.

The Bay Bar can be decent; some of the music that was getting played last year when Blue was hosting was atrocious though.

Tulp can also be a decent place for cocktails and to listen to some nice tunes, but more laid back than other places.

The old Pussycat now being rebuilt as Rio looks like it could be interesting.

The Sunset Strip is always busy and you can get to hear some decent DJs at pre parties (Mambo, Café Del Mar and Savannah) Savannah sometimes has parties in their back room.

Kanya has had some decent nights in the past, but nothing appealing to me of late, might change this year.

Villa Mercedes normally has something on and even if you aren’t eating you can pop in for cocktails and watch the show (I highly recommend Paco Fernandez if he is playing there this year, simply outstanding!)

I always like the bars around the Church Square in San Antonio; you could be anywhere in Spain and a lot more traditional than most of San Antonio. More laid back and chilled, but just nice to have a few drinks with friends and avoid the traditional tourist.

Depends how long I'm there for. Last time was 3 nights for Closings. Managed 4 hours sleep on the penultimate morning then an hour before going back to the airport. Took me about 3 weeks to recover though so I'm not sure it's the way forward.

Agreed - I know the feeling. I was in tears watching Eastenders 3 weeks after I got home...

If you're in San An there's a little cafe/bar on the egg island that is perfect to chill and watch people. It was very cheap and used to be open till 6am but I imagine it'll be a lot earlier these days.

WIPS 24hr in San Antonio. Strictly for the hardcore and delinquents.

Just remembered an old post from 2004 when FHM magazine had WIPS at number 5 of their places to avoid when in Ibiza. Still makes me laugh.

5 Whips (sic) Supermarket

The 24-hr supermarket in San An is the unofficial home of Ibiza's criminals, f*** up's and loonies. Only go if you're doing a degree in the uses of Ketamine.

 Brilliant.

I've used Wips loads over the years. Never noticed anything particularly bad about it.

Does this mean they've cleaned-up their act... or, as I fear, that I'm one of said delinquents?! :spank: haha
