okay ibiza gurus - how many of you have heard about a place called clot marés? if you know san antonio well that name will sound familiar to you because of the mercat des clot marés - but this clot marés has nothing to do with the market and its not even in san antonio. here are some pictures i took today afternoon in that curious place were probably none of you has been:

how about a place called festival club? in the 70s that place lost in the hills was used to have all kind of shows to entertain the tourists (like music, theater and even bull fights). sadly it was abandoned 20 years ago and it only has been used to celebrate some illegal parties. rumour has it that bob marley (apart from his concert at the bull ring in ibiza town on june 1978 ) once played there. here you have some of the pictures i took today at the

mrs rustywoo & i stumbled on that disued festival whilst on a long walk from our villa near san agustin.

she told me off for clambering over the walls as 'it looks dangerous'.

Did they have big feast type things there? If so, we used to run our 18-30 piss ups there ..
 
and how about a place known as erm, moon beach (obviously thats not the real name ;) )? last year during the portinatx fiestas there was an event organized on the beach with music, drummers, etc. later that saturday night when the tourists and families left people was invited to an illegal party in a different place that lasted the whole sunday. here are some of the pictures we took yesterday in that place and the beautiful surrounding area:

the next portinatx dance is this saturday (july 17th)!! ;)
 
the moon beach is between benirras and cala xarraca, isn't it? It's called s'illa d'en calders. there's a small trail from cala benirras to this point. Wanted to go there this year, but my "programm" was so fully packed that i couldn't make it. Will go there next year.

The photo of clot mares - i think - shows the same rock in the background, that you can see from kumharas. So it should be somewhere at the west coast of ibiza.

What is portinatx dance?
where is it on saturday? I arrive in Ibiza at 13:00 on Saturday!!
