i am confused....

"new terrace" and "sunset terrace" are they different?

when i go to space opening there is the dark inside room, the main terrace (a bigger version of old terrace) and the car park out the back.... am i missing something here...

have been going to space for over 10 years, is there a secret terrace which i dont know about?

:? :?

New terrace is the bit with the glass roof. Resembles nothing of a terrace

Sunset terrace is the old terrace :)

the "new terrace" is where the old (real) terrace used to be, on the right side when you get in.

the "sunset terrace" looks like the old terrace used to look, is open until midnight and is on the left side when you get in.

??? cant remember anything on the left, just the bit where old terrace was - i think on the right. this was the part that used to have the big fans and steps all round before it got bigger????

on the left all i remember was the walkway that went to the car park where i spent most of the day!!

hmmm

well i am back there in 2 weeks i will take note of the new/sunset terrace arrangements this time!!!!

You must remember the glass doors to get into the new terrace? You cant miss the place

 i didnt see any glass doors......8O

just when i got there it all seemed a bit back to front.... so i dont actuallly know which terrace i was in

the bar was at the back, dj on the right main room through doors on the left of the dancefloor and i think there was another bar ont he left.... i am sure it was the old terrace with the dj booth moved to the other side

 I can relate to that.

I don't think the "terrace" (what an appropriate name) has a glass roof anyway - just glass walls that let the morning sunshine in.

It's like a bloody leisure centre in there - I feel like I'm at the Central YMCA when I go through those big heavy doors.

i've described the intricacies of the space terraces before.

1)there is the old terrace, which is now the new terrace but really it is the old one but just with a new roof, so it is the new terrace
2)there is the sunset terrace, which is new but a new style version of the old terrace, but not in the same place as the old one so in that sense it is new but in all other senses it is old but it is a new(ish) terrace
3)parking terrace, which is new from a few years ago but it's not the new terrace cos that is the new terrace that is the old one
4) premier etage is a new terrace from a few years ago too so maybe it's the old terrace now but so as not to confuse you, it is in fact neither the old terrace (which is either the new terrace or the sunset terrace) or the new terrace (which is either the new terrace or the sunset terrace as well).
5)i think they are creating a new terrace for this year also but it's quite likely that this isn't going to be the new terrace like the old terrace styled sunset terrace is new but more as how the old terrace was before it became the new terrace.

I've been there and having read that I'm not sure if we're talking about the same club.

terrace

I have been to old terrace, the sun terrace, the new terrace, but not new/old/sun terrace I think I was at space, but it could have been the parking lot. Who knows??

the new terrace is the old one but new and the old terrace is the new one (but it's called the sunset terrace). although the old terrace is also the new terrace, depending on how you look at it.

it's perfectly clear

Space used to be so simple didn't it - terrace and inside, now you need an A-Z map just to find your way round the place

exactly.:D :D 8)

you've basically got a festival sized event every sunday at space. 3/4 medium size clubs running at the same time.

too much IMO

Au contraire Gregor!

Whilst if you had said to me I had to choose from either only experiencing the 'old space' vs the 'new space', I would have chosen the old one every time, though I did that for 4 or 5 years or whatever, and kind of feel like I 'conquered' it  . So many great times and memories, though I prefer how I 'do' space witht the new layout!

You now get great dj's playing through the night, in one of the best nightclub dance spaces in the world. The sound, the glass, the air con, should be the standard that all nightclubs should aspire to IMO.

It is a shame they had to take down the old terrace (and I'm gutted for all the people that never experienced the original one), and I don't think the new Sunset terrace is much good in comparison (largely due to the lack of steps that surround the dancefloor, and that it not everyone is focussed on the dj), but it's good that it polarises the cheese for the daytime, and let's you save the darker stuff for the night.

I love it in fact! It completely changes the day!:D

I agree :D

The old Space was just the best invention known to man - but I do like the fact now that you can have a daytime sesh listening to lots of old classics which is just what you want on a Sunday afternoon/evening before you crack on thru to the main event at night :D

Space now on a Sunday is almost like a mini-festival in itself - I love it  :D
