space terrace

I agree :D

The old Space was just the best invention known to man - but I do like the fact now that you can have a daytime sesh listening to lots of old classics which is just what you want on a Sunday afternoon/evening before you crack on thru to the main event at night :D

Space now on a Sunday is almost like a mini-festival in itself - I love it  :D

but from when home started you still had the night time thing

But I'm not a big fan of the inside of Space unless it's someone I really really love, now there's so many more options post-midnight whereas before then it was just inside.

Au contraire Gregor!

Whilst if you had said to me I had to choose from either only experiencing the 'old space' vs the 'new space', I would have chosen the old one every time, though I did that for 4 or 5 years or whatever, and kind of feel like I 'conquered' it  . So many great times and memories, though I prefer how I 'do' space witht the new layout!

You now get great dj's playing through the night, in one of the best nightclub dance spaces in the world. The sound, the glass, the air con, should be the standard that all nightclubs should aspire to IMO.

It is a shame they had to take down the old terrace (and I'm gutted for all the people that never experienced the original one), and I don't think the new Sunset terrace is much good in comparison (largely due to the lack of steps that surround the dancefloor, and that it not everyone is focussed on the dj), but it's good that it polarises the cheese for the daytime, and let's you save the darker stuff for the night.

I love it in fact! It completely changes the day!:D

the old space until up to 99 i think had the Dj behind the bar on the terrace and inside until 2000 inside the box was where the light guy is now, out of the way of everything.

so the booth on the sunset terrace is fine IMO

as i said, since 99 you had great DJs thru the night anyway.

btw dan, this sounds like i'm arguing, i'm not.;)

i agree with a lot of what you say.:D

These days I prefer the inside to the outside. The air con in there alone is worth the entrance fee.

Ah right, got ya. I was looking for a typo that made my statement a negative one!

besides, if someone would be happy that they'd paid £50 for good aircon, then i'd advise them to stay at home and sit in front of one of these

And when you go to my 30th in 3 years you can experience the full festival effect with the carpark open too.. :p

 Have you and your Barry booked the 'right flights' in September then or are you still planning on going in November  ;)
