richie plays ushuaïa opening the day before so it was always clear he's not gonna play space opening.

line up isn't huge yeah, but no one expected that. see who's playing we are fstvl and lost village that weekend.
it honestly won't matter. it's space's last opening party - it'll be full anyway. and lesser known artists can also play pretty good music ;)

...space closing line up will be a different calibre though :)

Yeah, kind of the same situation with "We are fstvl." and Co. like last year! And yeah, I forgot about Richie playin Ushuaia Opening just the day before.
But still some nice names that would make me very happy...

let's be honest, space opening line ups haven't been all that great in the last few years. the closing is always great though and this year will be definitely a huge one. I've heard a few rumours already... :)

but as said, it's gonna be packed anyway. and I'm sure it's going to be a great party even without all the superstars.

A pretty disappointing line up. Have they left a few announcements under their hats? Outwith Sasha, are there any other names big enough to close out the car park?

Is it the case that only big names are capable of performing well at opening parties? Therefore this will be poor due to lack of 'big' names... o_O

I for one wish that I could go to this, anyone that is fortunate enough to attend should be grateful. What were peeps expecting ?
Seems a fair few good well known names including some island stalwarts. Just enjoy it, most of the best nights are ones that have the least hype or planning.

Enough fodder there to ensure it goes off....Morillo on the terrace, Sasha probs gets two sets and Nick Curly and Yousef have always been underrated. People always bang on about Zabiela in the discoteca as well (although I've personally never been convinced)....Cox hasn't played the opening for a while right?

I guess its more about the club than the headliners, making sure everyone plays the right room etc...plenty of famous Space regulars there!

I dont need stars i only need House Djs :) ( i dont include the S man that play commercial EDM , will have a go to check & if EDM set , will look for other room)..Denis Ferrer? not sure he still play House music cf insane pacha ibz 13
its a shame they dont book the residents of Space such as Alfredo, Reche, Jonathan Ulysses, Jose De divina & ...
No more Marco Loco the scottish dj i follow when in ibz (sunset terrace resident for cafe ole)
i will have a look at the local names such as Igor Marijuan, javi bora Ramon castells.
Mr Doris
I dont care of the big name mentioned as im not keen at all on their music :D
Whatever, hope to be in a room without monotoneus sketchy boring music  & there are names that i dont know as i give up following eletronic music scene since 2002 :spank: is anybody have some recommandations for Djs to see (even not House), do you mind includind an youtube video or mixcloud mix? thanks in advance
Not impressive line up doesn't not mean i m not willing to be there...
ps:get me back my old space after party!!! was kidding

More than anything I'm very surprised to see no Carl Cox on that list.

Especially with it being the last season at Space.

There doesn't appear to be many Afterlife type artists either. Would have liked to have seen a Tennis or Bodzin type in there too.

I understand lots of people expected a 'bigger' line up because it's space's last ever opening party. but it was never going to be a huge one. too many other parties around on the same weekend that always already book their headliners when space is still recovering from their closing party. add to that the fact that the other venues on the island also have their opening parties and lock their headliners into exclusive contracts and you can clearly see it's not an easy game for space to get the big guns. but still, as a local I'm super pleased to see lots of island resident DJs getting the chance to play - a good few friends of mine are on the line up. they deserve it the most to play, they've been loyal to the club for decades and they play good music too.

big names and surprises will all be saved for space closing party :)
