Space Opening Fiesta 2016

Personally I think the list of locals on the flyer is a great thing, what better way to throw a party then getting the local DJ community envolved? It certainly won't be a let down, I wish I was there to enjoy it.

Just to make it clear:
For me the lineup is really fine. Some names that are really doing it for me. But for the last Space Opening EVER I was expecting at least one big headliner...actually I was expecting Coxy to play also the Opening as he is so tied to the club and the history.
To bring in some local DJs is a really nice move! But maybe I am also missing some of the DJs playin for Space in the past like Tenaglia or Lawler. Also a liveact like the Chemical Brothers would have add another edge to the festivities.
But as we all know...its all about the atmosphere and the crowd. And in that regard it will be definetly a glorious last Opening Fiesta!!

This remind me the old good time, when I went to space on Sundays morning FOR the residents djs...;)
Definitely a great line-up...

I think it's a great line up and people saying no "big" names sasha is as big as they come in my mind. If I could afford/get the time off work I would 100% go to this. Nick curly is great for me, I'm glad to see he playing a lot for space in their last year

wouldn't expect too much from the opening lineup though. 2016 as in last years space opening goes up against we are fstvl in london and movement detroit on the same day. judging from last years all the heavyweights are already booked there.

who told you so in january? oh wait, I did ;)

I'm super pleased to see lots of island resident DJs getting the chance to play - a good few friends of mine are on the line up. they deserve it the most to play, they've been loyal to the club for decades and they play good music too.

Couldn't agree more with the above statement and they are the backbone of the Island and usually play much better sets than all the " big names " ....That you are so upset about not seeing, and ten times more approachable

No one will remember the last ever opening party whoever was to play but everyone will remember the last ever closing party and that's the way it should be.

I'm there regardless of line up. It'll be decent I'm sure.

Hopefully we have the weather that weekend as well....

Morillo played a really accessible set to a lot of people when he played the flight arena at spaces 25th birthday. Great booking imo

It's a decent lineup, around the same calibar as last year's. I did expect some bigger names but don't mind if some guys play extended sets or back to back like Sasha and James Zabiela (one can wish).

Honestly Ushuaia's opening lineup looks better, but I wouldn't miss the world to see Sasha at Space

"Space’s open-air car park is transformed into a huge dancefloor which will host DJs such as Sasha and Erick Morillo all hold court in spectacular fashion."

So Sasha and Morillo confirmed playing the flight area...

I disagree, people who have spent months saving up thousands to afford a clubbing holiday have every right to be demanding. If your hotel, flight or meal is substandard you naturally complain, why is it any different in a nightclub? That's why people rely on these forums to do their research. It's easy if you're the sort of person who can take/leave music because it's not your priority then no problem but if you DO care then it sure as hell matters if some plank kills your buzz. It's not like going to some meat market in Chelmsford for a fiver.

don't get me wrong - since moving to Spain am nowhere near as nerdy as before, it's just that I want the right vibe in that environment. I don't want to rush to music I heard earlier that day in Carrefour or something.
