Space Closing 2016

Stivi... Had this through from Space this morning.

Do you think in light of this email that they will now sell tickets to reputable ticket outlets and on the door now, due to the timings. I have tickets but a few of my friends are still after some.

They have posted on Facebook that you will be able to buy tickets on the door.

You'll just have to get there earlyish to guarantee entry.

First post here, have been following this thread for a while now. Massive thanks to Stivi in particular as well as others you’ve answered every Q I have thought of posting up until now!

There’s just one issue I am having which I would really appreciate a response on, if possible. We are thinking of turning up around 4/5am, we want to be there at the very end and I don’t want to be in there any earlier if all the rumours of overcrowding are true as it would not only spoil my night and memories of Space but probably send me home early from tiredness. 15 hours+ is just a tad unrealistic I feel, and I fully expect a lot of people to start flaking from 5am onwards.

We have tickets and do not mind paying a small surcharge on the door for not sticking to the 9pm rule stated on the ticket. My Q is, will people with tickets be given priority over people in the queue without tickets, or would there just be one long queue once the club is at capacity? I imagine there may well be a 1 in 1 out policy around this time and I would not want to risk doing this if we would just be sent to the back of a long queue. I fear that non ticket holders would be given the same priority as people who have already bought one, as there is more money to be made there.

If anyone knows anything regarding how this is likely to be dealt with/how this issue has been dealt with in previous years I’d appreciate knowing! Is anyone else thinking of doing the same or is it really not worth the risk in your opinion? Cheers

I think truth be told everyone would like to do the car park for a couple of hours, split and then come back at the time you are suggesting....I have friends that aren't on the forum hell bent on queuing up at 5am...I suspect they will get in eventually but who's to say. Nobody here will really be able to answer your question with any certainty (even Stivi might struggle and always states that things are not certain/can change)....at the end of the day its up to you to assess the risk.

I've got a ticket so intend on getting in at 9ish and trying to ride it out using tactics discussed here - arrive well rested, eat when you are there and then don't get silly until the party really starts...

Sounds like a good idea.. but problem is sticking to the plan

Precisely... Also from what people have been saying and some of the reviews that have been left of recent nights I fear that the first 6 or so hours from 10pm onwards will be so rammed that it will spoil the occasion. Hence wanting to turn up a lot later. Confirmation that there will be 2 queues throughout the night, one for ticket holders and one for those without and priority given accordingly would ease my fears of not getting let in but I guess we will have to wait and see if anything is said...

Maybe someone on the island can confirm how the weathers been, but being in the USA we have no clue what the weather in europes looked like :) from looking at the reports it looks to be high of 80f/27c and lows of 65f/21c? If soo that is gooooorgeous. Also incredibly hyped that the car park will remain open without music to chill outside. Well let me rephrase..i wish there was still music, but im glad theyre not closing it down! If it gets too packed i will literally stay in the car park and have a seat for 3-4 hours while the sardines get shifted around :D

paul, temps at end of sept/start of october are normally perfect for partying - not too hot anymore, but definitely not cold. it can get chilly at night, but you won't be cold in space closing for sure ;)

I'm gambling with the old pay on the door method @ around 6/7am with DC10 for afters. I have a horrible feeling 1000's more people will be doing the same (minus the DC10 perhaps). Only time will tell i guess!
