Paul Taylor's Retro night has been announced for Monday's at Es Paradis.

EDM dj are the most commercialy and crap dj+s in the world.
I saw Swedish House Mafia in Sweden when they still liked what they were doing, and were not about making money.

Personally I'm not a fan of Edm, and certainly wouldn't pay to see Avicci etc. That being said there are some guys in the edm scene who you can't help but admire.

Anyone who has been around long enough knows that David Guetta is/was what the music snobs would consider a legit dj with all the qualities you list. Then he almost single handedly created a whole new genre, pursuing it to what it is now. Guetta does not get the respect he really deserves, I'm not a fan of what he plays these days, but his achievements can't be understated.

Then you have the SHM guys, again legit by any measure you just listed. Their WHP night in 2008 was one of my most memorable nights ever. Pivotal players in helping establish what is now the mainstream edm.

These are just a couple of examples. My point being, that you may not like the scene or the music, but there are artists there that deserve respect. They didn't sell out, they changed the game for themselves. Not just great dj's, but entrepreneurs with incredible vision too.

Each to there own of course , but for me I can't appreciate someone like guetta who used to be a respected dj is now standing in front of a crowd pressing a few buttons to turn on his pre mix . I'm afraid to say they have sold out. He is a producer now and good luck to him he is making money through a genre that is enjoyed by many , but he shouldn't mug his peers, his fans and himself off and and pretend his djing/mixing at one of his gigs. He is a modern day milli vanilli and its criminal that he gets away with it.
No respect from me

I get the point of the previously recorded mixes, not ideal but a reflection of the times we live in. However, I would argue who is he mugging off? This isn't Sven or Ricardo. My misses just wants to party and have a good time, she likes his music so she will go to his party. Does she care that he doesn't beat match? People aren't going to see David Guetta to be taken on a 6 hour introspective journey, or to marvel at his dj'ing prowess. He/they are performer's, who's show happens to include a set of cdj's. We know that, and those that don't for the most part probably don't care.

He is mugging off all the people who think he is mixing at his live shows . Just the same as when you see a singer live on stage and they are miming , half probably don't give a shit but half probably do. The argument isn't wether anyone is enjoying what he does as I'm sure he is entertaing huge amounts of people . I'm just stating you said said they haven't sold out and that they are not just great djs , which is complete rubbish. If he didn't stand there with his cdjs I wouldn't be having this argument with you.
