SOLOMUN +1 @ PACHA 2024 - Reviews & Reports

Going on Sunday for the closing...can't wait. Is anyone prepared to tell me their best spots to dance where it wont be as packed? I know this might mean revealing sacred information...

hello guys
I come here to say that I will be at the closing at sunday.
Expectations are high. who else is going? Yes, knowing a good spot to dance if it's crowded would be good.haha
Does anyone have any inside info about afterparty? the question everyone wants to know

So Solomun all night long past Sunday... I mean I had a fun night. Pacha is just such an amazing venue when all areas are open, and it's the best place for people watching, in the garden or upstairs.
Musically let's say Solomun isn't my sound anymore unfortunately. Sure, there were phases when he played my kind of Solomun: melodic, trancey and indie dance. But that man now loves his rap music! For whole hours he played shockingly cheap tech house with male rap vocals. There were times when I thought it had suddenly gotten Friday and Marco Carola was playing :O So yea, fun night with mid music.

He’s a sell out.

This will always be one of my fav sets to listen to

The glory days🥹

To be fair if you listen to Solomun’s essential mix from 2012 a good chunk of it are those rap/tech-housey tunes, so he’s always had a penchant for it and not surprised he plays some of it when there’s no +1.

Reviewing last Sunday with solomun +1 closing:

I have to say it was my first and my last night this season at the pacha. and... best of all: I seem to have got it right. Madlen was on a good day! He gave us a great party until 8am!
I was a bit worried that he would do a tech house set, but that didn't really happen and he definitely saved himself for the last night of his season. A set full of IDs, energy and powerful indie dance music. The guest couldn't have been better, gerd showed that he is an old friend of madlen's and the two complemented each other very well, when the guest is good, solomun doesn't usually disappoint.
The pacha wasn't sold out, there was room to dance and the vibe was good overall. Drinks have increased in price compared to last year (I'm not sure but I think so).
It was a great night and my only regret is that I didn't make it to the after party, which looked like a great continuation of the party.
Let's hope madlen continues for Pacha for a few more years!

Sounds like Solomun has joined Maceo Plex with new found love of rap these days.

Luckily going from the clips from the closing party I've seen and from the review above looks like Gerd got him back to his melodic roots.
