Sleep paralysis...

Anyone else get it after clubbing? How do you deal with it? I had a nasty bout today and that's five days on from indulging at Eden (and then only once)... unless booze and a serious lack of sleep can also contribute?

I got this a few times...felt like a woman was sitting on me, and not in a nice way

Mine wasnt cause by sleep deprivation, just had alot on my mind.

I think it doesnt help when your mind's over active.

My theory is much like Kitty - I get it when I have loads on my mind and / or something keeping my brain overactive - mind's still awake, body's asleep..

It's caused by sleep deprevation, not drugs. Just get a good nights kip.

I've only ever had it after indulging. ;) That's the thing, though - I was shattered this morning (after a night's travelling home), but I kept being woken by bad dreams/ paralysis.

Sleep paralysis is a condition in which someone, most often lying in a supine position, about to drop off to sleep, or just upon waking from sleep realizes that s/he is unable to move, or speak, or cry out. This may last a few seconds or several moments, occasionally longer.
People frequently report feeling a "presence" that is often described as malevolent, threatening, or evil  . An intense sense of dread and terror is very common 8O . The presence is likely to be vaguely felt or sensed just out of sight but thought to be watching or monitoring, often with intense interest, sometimes standing by, or sitting on, the bed.

Holy Maloney I've experienced stuff like that for years, and never realised what it was.
For example: When I lived at my Ma's in 2000 I shared a room with my Blister & I had an evil presence breathing under my bed, and I was paralysed to scream or move 8O 8O
I told my Blister next day & she wouldn't sleep up there for a week after :?
