i wish my phonebill was seventy pound! it never used to go above 50. even when i went to ibiza for the summer and occasionly used my phone to text or phone my bill was only 80. now it seems to be 90+ . i think its do so with 3rd party services and friends ringing me from abroad and then me having to pay for it. :?

If friends ring you from abroad you don;t pay

It only costs you to receive calls when you, yourself are roaming on another network...(ie in another country)

Contact your network and claim it back They should be able to trace where your phone was at that time - ie on their network!

If you get any grief - mention OFTEL to them and ask for their complaints procedure...

Please forgive my ignorance, but are the phone bills in UK based on a per minute basis, rather than the area (or zones) you call? Just curious.

I remember when I lived in Pakistan phone bills were based on a combintion of where you call and how long you are on the phone. Even if calls were in your area the bills were based on how long you talk on the phone. In the US that is only true for long distance calls, but not for "in area" calls.

Nish, I think you really need to ease up on your sex calls   .

Yeah Laguna, you pay per minute for a call. If its to the same network it's cheaper, if its a rival network, you pay anywhere up to 50p a minute! Calls to landlines are somewhere in the middle.

Not always....

The network I work for is a flat rate to any number, any time of day (As long as it's not a premium rate or international call....)
