Happy St Andrews day - I am 1/4 Scottish so that's as good a reason as any to get on the rose tonight to celebrate

note tho - apparently next year we Scots are entitled to take St Andrews day as a holiday! ------------------------------but we have to relinquish another one in its place!!!

I noticed when I was in Newcastle (well, not quite Scotland but closer...) that it's dirt cheap by comparison. My brother and I had a roast dinner and 2 pints for 12 pounds
My brother was in such disbelief that he handed the cashier 30 because he thought he'd misheard something He was up in Edinburgh the previous week... said it's a lovely town.
So, what do people DO on St Andrews Day?
