I think the article is bloody bizarre. I'm sure he's having lots of fun prancing around to funky house with the supergays but it sounds to me that there are some deep rooted issues that need sorting there. :?

Yep......when you scream to the world that you are Mr Cool, it really says how uncool you are. I think he was trying to be accepted by the world's gay community by saying the things he believed would be applauded the most.

To a certain extent a lot of what Ibiza seems to have become is people looking around and judging people whether its for being a chav or for being a muscle man etc so you dont seem any different with your "look at me im gay you ugly straight people" stance

Although your entitled to your own opinion and no doubt you probably look a lot better in Speedos than I do 8O your stance is fine but personally i think youre pretty wide of the mark saying that you are trying to make other people know how it feels to be prejudiced against in the context of an article about ibiza

As a horrible,awful straight person my own Ibiza experience is about the love of the music and sharing that with like minded people, straight, gay or anything in between. Its about closing your eyes, smiling, making best friends with person next to you. Not about spending your holiday comparing yourself and compartmentalising (cant think of the right word!) yourself to such a degree because by doing so youre missing out.

Yes.....Romania a democracy. Romania still has the same problem with abandoned babies, there is a serious rich/poor divide, many people still live a poverty stricken existence and there is a nasty crime and fraud strain running through it.

Why on earth is it going to become part of the EU?

On second thoughts...I'll not bother as Romania is bottom in terms of meeting the 30 requirments for inclusion.

Romania will for years be a net recipient of EU funds paid in by richer EU nations like Britain, France and Germany. I am not anti EU by any means but I cannot understand the British/French led race to include more and more poorer european nations into the already financially overstretched union.
You only have to study the original place of residence of many of the illegal immigrants entering France and Britain to see that Romania, Bulgaria, Kosovo, and Kurdish Turkey are amongst the most common.
So just what have Romania and many other eastern european nations to offer the EU?...probably cheap labour and even more strain on our own benefits system.

if it wasn't for immigrants........the UK's economy would slowly grind to a halt.

immigrants (from EU or not) don't jsut provide cheaper labour, they provide a better standard of skill in most jobs. thereby, giving lazy brits who think they have a right to a job cos "its my country" the kick up the arse they deserve.

Agreed...in an earlier post someone said that his brother was unable to find work as a plasterer or decorater because he is being undercut.

Thats only half the story. We had some Ukranian builders do some work at our family home a few months ago. Not were they cheap but they had an unbelievable work ethic and pride in their work that compared to the british builders we had a couple of years ago who spent most of the day in their van reading the sun really highlighted the difference.

This isnt playing on sterotypes or generalising...this is my personal experience but one which I feel generally true.

Think the problem with discussing immigration is its is such a politicised and emotive issue and people often have opinions without knowing the facts.The whole media frenzy over waves of immigrants flooding the uk and stealing all the jobs appeals to peoples biggest fears without presenting the full story

Yes there appears to be an issue and you cant just allow immigration to go unchececked but look at most nurses, key workers etc in London and they are mainly immigrants doing crucial jobs without which the city would come to a stand still.
