this is a great scheme, they do something similar in Barcelona and it´s great. I think also Paris and Amsterdam have a similar thing and i read that Ken Livingstone was looking at introducing it to London.

The Association of Neighbors of Sant Antoni considers that it set in motion
of the Hotel Ibiza Rock, in the center of the locality, will cause "inconveniences"
to the residents.
"It is not the most adequate place given the proximity of the dwellings
and even one school", warning this collective one.
Thus it transmitted it, besides, to the institutions and to the own property development company of the musical hotel in a meeting called by the City Hall and to which also they attended the insular director of Civic Participation.
The neighbors assure that the representatives of the musical hotel compromised
"firmly" to respect and to cause to respect "the principles of contact and the bylaws.
The association thanks the predisposition of the developers of this program of musical actions in the center of Sant Antoni, but asks that "they invest in effort and imagination and they be capable of showing that the festival is not at odds with the respect and the public-spiritedness".
This collective one has delivered to the City Hall a series of firms of neighboring residentes in adjacent buildings with this establishment in which they request "a greater caution".

Sala's Plea
The mayor of San Antonio, Jose Sala, has appealed for help in modernising the ageing municipality. In a statement whilst visiting the work taking place in front of es Pouet beach - close to the border with San Jose, to be completed next month - he confirmed he had requested a special subsidy from the Council.
Sala said San Antonio was one of the more mature resorts in the Balearics, and that work was needed to cement its place as a market leader. He continued that the plan was extremely ambitious and even contemplated the removal of the structure at the entrance to the town - formerly the open-air disco, Idea - which has remained an eyesore for the last 15 years. A huge wellness centre is to be put in its place which will include indoor pools, a spa, and rooms for massage and talasotherapy treatments.
Although part of the work remains unfinished, the road in front of es Pouet beach has been opened to traffic, ensuring the entire bottom bay road right through to Port des Torrent is now fully operational.
The cost of the entire project eventually came to €2,160,000, loose change in comparison to the original plans, which intended to spend over €6 million, but were eventually scrapped after funding could not be raised. The first phase was completed last year and included the sa Punta des Moli children's park at a cost of €437,682. The second and third years saw a further €1.6 million spent on restructuring the road, which originally should have changed the road into a one-way system, but that idea was scrapped after consultation between the Town Halls of San Antonio and San Jose.
The following day Sala was out and about yet again, this time visiting the proposed car park which has brought chaos to the centre of town during the last six months. He promised the construction would be ready by 15th July and would have space for 300 cars. Around 100 of these would be sold off at a price of around €18,000, whilst the rest would be rented out.
However, he agreed the new facility would not solve the problem in the centre of town and said another car park would be built close to the football stadium towards the end of the year.

The councillor in charge, Jose Ramon Serra Pilot, commented that the police were there to ensure peace of mind to the general public and be of help wherever possible. He added that he was confident that with so many officers they would be able to satisfactorily cover the entire municipality, including the two major clubs close to San Rafael.
In other matters the councillor revealed the police had so far fined a total of 25 establishments for the illegal use of PR's. He added that his administration was determined to clamp down on this illegal form of advertising, which he said gave the municipality, and in particular the West End, a bad name. This form of advertising is not illegal, but PR's need to be properly registered and can only be employed by those businesses who already have seven registered employees.

is it illegal or not to use pr's ?
so thats all the clubs and the sunset bars sorted and basically everyone except the mom & pop bars that run themselves

the govn must be having a field day with the local club drug conference going on - apparently 80% of 17 olds who were asked said they visited clubs and drank - quell fookin surpise - if you ask a 17 year old who lives here whether they went to the clubs how many would say no? - exactly - yet you can bet that mr bin man will spin it...
