Rip

"no foul play suspected" I guess either suicide pact or maybe carbon monoxide poisoning? Very sad, regardless. Especially his wife who was much his junior

Never not enjoyed watching a Hackman performance. Seen a couple of his films recently and realised again how good he is.

really does feel like a generation in black music is leaving us. "Everybody loves.." was always played by Norman Jay at the Big Chill (easy @Marts73 wherever you are) and the sound of a thousand lazy summer afternoons in London parks, everyone armed with essential kit (Red Stripe, spliff and Raybans). There are only 5/6 things I actually miss from England and one is London parks in the summer. I picked up Virgin Ubiquity when BBE released it in 2004 and it blew my mind. Tarzan - what a tune + some mega Osunlade and Ame remixes for the ravers.

So sad. Way too young

I met him a few times at parties. Slightly shy but a lovely guy. Used to play out quite a lot. I remember him and Felix Basement Jaxx doing a fundraiser for victims of the Fukushima nuclear disaster

@Robder of this parish was desperately after his Grace Jones remix years ago, which IIRC never saw the light of day
