VERY recently re-bought JBs Songs for a tailor album on cd,
sounds weirder now than it did 'back in the day'. Sad one......
 
RIP Plastic People - one of the best clubs in London, victim of the usual council BS... Innervisions, move d, floating points etc regularly packed out to 100 people in a sweaty, almost pitch black basement - ace doos that gave priceless exposure to the underground - many of those guys went on to bigger nights and huge audiences in ibiza and beyond. Kill the roots and the whole plant dies..
 
SOLA - event & festival designer, painter and if I am correct invented "Piratas de Ibiza", as found at Las Dalias, Punta Arabi and on Vara de Rey.
She died on January 2nd 2015.
 
Joe Cocker died? How the heck did I miss that?! Guess I was traveling that day. Sad news. I'm not the biggest fan of his songs but what a great voice. Sad indeed.

The first nightclub I ever visited in London, way back in 1997 (at a different location, no less... somewhere off Oxford St, I think). Sad to learn of its demise.
 
^ ^ Morbyd,have you heard 'Mad Dogs & Englishmen' a live album with Leon Russell etc?
The more recent...15-20 years old? 'Sheffield Steel' produced by Sly & Robbie is pretty good too...
