RICHIE HAWTIN moves to SPACE

Definitely Ibiza's worst kept secret this year. Well a close second to the Swedes moving...

Question is - how many dates and what months will be he be playing? Can't see him doing the full summer as Kehakuma starts early and ends late, so was thinking maybe July August...?

Cocoon is looking good this year already after 2 average summers lineup wise.. wonder why? :)

Maybe it will be similar to how the WetYourSelf guys had it last season , think they did 5 or so nights in the main room with Kehakuma with pretty big techno lineups so the money is there to be invested for sure

cos they need to step up the game if 2 big names (richie and corola) have left to do their own nights elsewhere.

Wow! Is all I can saw. Kehakuma + Richie Hawtin + Osuna! This is the night to be at now....

Brilliant brilliant move by Space! This takes Kehakuma/Thursday up there with We Love & Carl Cox.

he says thursdays on Minus-Party , maybe kehakuma on one room, and minus in other room??
and space website sells tickets for kehakuma for 34 euros without drink, but they doesnt says nothing about richie!! and only confirmed until 28 june, so maybe richie starts in july???

This is awesome news , Paco is more of a Cocoon affiliated dude isn't he?

Im digging Cocoons line ups this year

Main Room
Adam Beyer
Chris Liebing
Marcel Dettmann

WOW.

Cocoon seems to be going back towards its techno roots - very glad to see and might even give it another try especially if Adam Beyer & co show up and a 'proper' techno crowd starts going again. Far prefer the afore-mentioned 3 to Richie for a techno night. Circo Loco is basically a pre-party in "proper techno" terms and Cocoon had just got diluted to the point of not being a strong enough follow-on (for me at least). Would like to see Ben Klock @ Cocoon .. enjoyed him at DC-10 but he'd be much better placed alongside Dettmann, Beyer & Liebing at Amnesia.

Reckon Richie/M_nus would work better at Kehakuma than Cocoon. Paco has a big fan club in Spain too, so should work to really strengthen that night with a diverse crowd. Good moves all round.

Also excited to see Planetary Assault Systems (Live) name pop up also , Slater is god. I kept hearing about CLR having their own night at Amnesia but nothing ever happened which sucks , i think Carola got that gig.

Don't think Marco will be able to hold a night together on his own. Hopefully he brings some big techno names for his night.

I think Kehakuma needed a little star power to really put them on the map and Hawtin might be that guy. Will be cool to see him at Space i think !!

With Marco, it may be successful as he's pretty popular with Italians and in Spain .. only thing is it's on the same night as Supermartxe ... very different nights they may be, but I reckon there would be overlap in the possible audiences. We've heard very little since the original announcement - will be interesting to see who he gets along ... perhaps Capriati & co. CLR could definitely make a success of their own night I reckon, but their artists are probably adequately booked elsewhere ?

Am still indifferent about Hawtin @ Space personally - but he really does pull the crowds. Didn't realize you were so into your techno :!:

My tastes in EDM have shifted heaps mate but still keeps me grounded and open to new sounds :P . I find Marco to be a little bit of a snoozefest at times, haven't seen him play more then a few times though. They seem to love him down at El Row lol.

Yeh i think CLR artists can make more money playing shows across the world rather then settling in to a residency in Ibiza. I would cream if they had a split residency between CLR and Drumcode that would be sick.

Can't see myself going back to Cocoon now I just look at it as a big super brand and the quality has went right out the window last couple of years. Used to go at least once every time I been to Ibiza but I've not been since the opening in 2010. I haven't been back to Amnesia either as the crowds get ridiculous at the peak time especially at the entrance to the main room.

At least in Space if it gets too packed you can head to other rooms. I'm definitely going to Kehakuma this year. The lineups they had without the Minus crew were outstanding last year so its only going to get better.

This is interesting I heard that a few times in the last few weeks, I have never been to Cocoon & at the moment it's one of the nights i'm planning to give a ago, what else or where would you suggest after DC10, don't worry about my music taste as I like all house music excluding Dupstep. Or should I ask where you plan to go after DC10 if that's your plan.. :)

If you haven't been and are planning to then you should go you will have a good night, it's just not the same night it was for me when I first went. The cocoon sound has changed a lot the last few years.

Much preferred cocoon when it sounded like this..

http://m.soundcloud.com/nganga/sven-vath-live-at-cocoon

Sven just don't seem into it these days

heard sven 10 days ago, thought his set was very techy for most of the time (apart of the few first and last tracks).

i'm also really curious to see how cocoon evolves this year.
