oh no! i just discovered that visions kiosko in cala de bou has closed forever. dining on plastic chairs and tables on a moped hire forecourt with magnificent views of the bus stop is no more. barbecued quail, rabbit, and sirloin steak are now off the menu due to the retirement of the owner/chef/butcher.
i'm really going to miss that place.

I heard rumors about this already in the winter, but I didn't think it was true. By the way, did you know that a new restaurant is coming to replace Salvaje behind La Sirena?

The San Antonio branch was being gutted last week, including signage removal and they haven’t updated their socials for a while. Not sure about the small Ibiza Town venue.

Confirmed on their Instagram that they've closed both restaurants in San Antonio and Ibiza town. But they then say "But don't worry, this isn't over yet. You'll hear from us very soon. What's coming next is big. Very big." Proper drama queens (fingers crossed they stay in Ibiza though).
 
Any news on great restaurants opening this season for medium-price level? It seems that all the new ones are high premium level 🥴
 
Any recommendations for somewhere nearish to la torre for the evening...not too pricey but nice vibes? Was tempted to try Sa Capella but looks pretty £££ now it has been taken over?

You may have already dabbled and it's on a different end of the spectrum from Sa Capella vibes, but sardines night at Aquarium Cap Blanc was a nice evening when we did it a few years back. €19 these days for a rustic sardines and salad + entrance into the aquarium. Famously the location on the cover of https://andresyxavi.bandcamp.com/album/sounds-from-the-secret-bar so you can also get a selfie :-)
