RESISTANCE IBIZA [Sasha & Digweed] @ Privilege 2017

I thought it was a great start. Was packed when I arrived, thinned out a bit post 5am but not empty by any means. Great production and everything, although I thought the dancers in front of the booth were a little bizarre, doesn't really fit S&D's style. Second room was good fun too. Hopefully they can build on it. Certainly has all the elements to bring people in. Any idea what time it was done? Stayed till around 6:45, got a feeling that as it was slowly emptying out it wouldn't last much longer. Plus I was sure their finish wouldn't beat the Glasto one playing Strings of Life ;)

Wouldn't be better just to finish at 5 or.6 when.the.place is in full swing.. watching people leave when your still.playing must be a right pain in the arse..

Was that a particular remix of "Strings of Life" do you know or just Sasha doing some clever knob twiddling at the start?

Tuesday night was superb.
Arrived early doors, around 11.30 & lasted until around 6.30.
Matador, B-Traits b2b with Anna, Nicole Moudaber b2b with Calderone were all brilliant & S&D destroyed the place to finish with.
It was my first visit to Privilege since 2011 & it definitely felt a lot smaller than I remembered. The sound system was unbelievable & the light show was top class. Seeing Privilege back to its best was
Also pleasantly surprised at the drinks prices. €6 for water & €9 for a beer is pretty decent going by Ibiza prices. I will be back for round two next week.

Good review. Do you think that Resistance will do the Privelege closing by any chance?

hmmm I´d never thought of that. but seeing that at space, ultra used to do the parking lot, why not? especially since the new privilege manager is the guy who used to manage space. it´s a possibility but I´m really not sure.

Resistance hosting The Social festival's main arena in the UK on Friday 29th (Carl Cox headlining) & Saturday 30th September (Sasha & Digweed)... then they all jump in Coxy's private jet and we see them all play Privi closing on 1st Oct!!

I'm speculating the last part. But I'd love to see it happen

As Juan the new manager , things are improving and going in the right way but Stivi , who is owning privilege ? ( know pretty well the major club owner but have not clue about privilege as it was quite in the shadow for the last 10 years )
Is the owner ready to spend money (Lot of Money )next winter to improve and put back privilege on the map ???

Because , that very good what s happening now but the club need to be refurbish in a big way , they are showing this summer that privilege still alive but the club need work and with the size it,s huge amount of money , so wondering if the owner know it and planing to improve or just take a bit of money and leave it like it is and in 3 years time privilege go back to sleep for another ten years ...

After going to Carl Cox night at Priv you could quite easily see how a Space Closing could be replicated here! Got a similar amount of rooms Main (Discoteca) Vista (Terrace) Coco Loco (Sunset Terrace) The small room past this (El Salon) and the upstairs dome could be Premier Etage and I know I'm dreaming here but they even have a nice car park out front don't they?

Stivi what's your thought's on over the next couple of years Priv turning more and more into the new Space? Could they try to make the opening and closings very similar to Space's or will this just simply not happen?

Okay, so I'm going to have to eat my words.
I'm seriously considering this party now after reading these good reports for my Sept visit instead of Mosaic
I can't understand why S&D aren't playing all dates?

It was said here over a year ago that Space is moving to privilege..and they laughed..
I know it was said and it basically has in terms of some of the nights but I'm purely talking about the opening and closing of Priv. This years opening was not spoken of that much.

I'm just curious, since it is the same team running it, if they will ever take the approach they did with the Carl Cox events and have 4/5 room of music and even potentially try for a Car Park stage.

After all Space closing was always seen as 'The' closing so wondering if Privilege can work toward gaining this status
