talking about protests and discrimantion did anyone else want to punch their tele last night when the news was on about the first lesbian couple getting married in Ireland.

Big buch of stiffs in the background holding banners saying 'sodomy is sin' etc and one big ***** saying 'God will bless you when you repent your sins'

yeah, all that kind of stuff makes me really angry

I'm not a christian but the way these people manage to completely misunderstand jesus's message of love all, judge not and all that stuff astounds me.

Almost as bad though was the pink limo taking the lesbians to their wedding

funny thing someone said to me yesterday about the movie Brokeback Mountain (the gay cowboy love story) which is causing a bit of a stir amongst some Christians in the US..

basically they said it was weird that they objected to that movie for 'promoting homosexuality' whilst they had no problem with King Kong, a film that glorifies inter-species relationships

I can see that.

Primitive but virile "other" from a faraway society forms a close bond with blonde.

"They're taking our women!" in other words.

However I think the well-balanced racial mix of the crew in the current remake was intended to offset this perhaps intrinsic element to the story.
