Hello all my names jason and I work in the radio 1 press office

It's great to see you're all asking loads of questions about this years radio 1 in Ibiza

Just to clarify we are NOT working in association with Pukka up so any deals promoting packages including entry to the radio 1 free party is incorrect. You can't buy tickets for this event and the only ticket outlets are those stated on the radio 1 website.

Also we appreciate your feedback regarding ticket availability and as such more tickets will now be available on thurs 4th and Friday 5th august in Ibiza. Please keep checking the radio 1 website this week for updates on where the tickets will be available. I will also post here when everything is finalised.

Once again thanks for all your feedback on what's sure to be an amazing event!

Hi everyone!
At the moment we are trying to decide on whether to go to Come Together in Space on the Friday or Richie Hawtin presents Plastikman at Amnesia. I'm torn between going to a potentially great party at Space or seeing a potentially mind blowing performance from Hawtin. I love a bit of Techno but everyone always raves about how good the radio 1 events are...anyone got any good thoughts?

Also, will the standard drink prices apply in Ushuaia for the radio 1 event i.e. about €10 for a beer and €15 for a cocktail?

tickets on Friday will be available from mambo (1000 tix) and sands (500 tix). Looks like there is 2500 tix available between 3 venues on the wednesday and 1500 tix on the Wednesday.

So thats 5500 total tickets available.

Wonder what time people will be queing from on the Friday to get them!?

Its great how pukka up just decide to add the ushuaia entry on there ticket information when i was ordering 6 places on the boat, purely because I wanted to avoid the queues for the wrist bands.

They have massively mis sold this event and now people getting on that boat, thinking they are sorted are going to miss out on wristbands for the party, I can guarantee was the only reason they booked up.

I dont arrive till Thursday morning and will have to go straight from airport and queue and hope for a wristband or have to get up at stupid o clock on the friday morning, to queue at mambo's. :evil::evil::evil::evil:. great way to start a major session!!:evil::evil:
 
Radio 1

I am flying to Ibiza this sunday for a week, so should make the radio 1 weekend.

However I am annoyed, as I am staying on the other side of the island in Es Canar, and will have to make a special trip to Ibiza town just to get the wristbands with my girlfriend, with no guarantees of getting any, why cant they just do an online free ticket ballot, it would be much easier. I feel sorry for the people arriving late.

Are any of you going to just the radio one event, or radio one party plus Space?

Space seems pretty expensive and i'll be worrying how to get back to Es Canar in the early hours of the morning!
 
BBC Radio 1 Ibiza tickets - available weds or thurs?

I've read some links saying tix available on Weds, some on Thurs or Fri.

I'm now confused, on which day can I get them from Ibiza town? I will have to make a special trip to ibiza town just to get them :x

Don't worry - be happy - you'll be in Ibiza where good things happen to those who go with the flow ... sure you can get a cab back after if push came to shove - you only live once !

Details are all on the Radio 1 website with information on where to get wristbands and how many will be available at each location.

I'm going to both, think there's going to be a great atmosphere at both and the line up's are excellent. You'll be in PDB anyway so may as well make it a night!!

What time do people think we should start queing at Sands on the Wed for a wristband? We arrive close to midnight on Tuesday so planning a relatively quite one with a view to getting up early on Wednesday. Dont want to be there for 8 if there wont be a massive que, was think 9.30am??
