Cheers mate. I think I know what he means in his first email - after the Annie and Tongy live broadcasts they usually then broadchast one of the live sets from one of the other clubs, in this case it might be Space. But it is surprising that he says the main event will be on the Friday at Space. Its usually on the Saturday night at either Amnesia or Priviledge. Guess we'll just have to wait and see. I'm sure it'll be a wicked weekend what ever happens.

It wouldn't be summer without our annual trip to the wonderful island of Ibiza!
Radio 1 will be broadcasting live for 12 hours from the infamous White Isle on Friday 5 August 2011.
To kick it all off, from 7pm Annie Mac and Pete Tong will be coming live from a free Radio 1 event at Space with some special guests, including Calvin Harris and Carl Cox. We'll be telling you more in the next few weeks about how you can be a part of it, so watch this space!
Then from midnight, we'll be broadcasting live with some of the hottest names in the dance world including Deadmau5, Magnetic Man, Jamie XX, Jamie Jones, Funkagenda and Breakage - and many more to be announced! You'll be able to hear the very best of the night in an extended Essential Mix.
As well as all that, the Radio 1 family will be getting behind the decks - Judge Jules, Kissy Sell Out, Jaymo & Andy George, Skream & Benga, Kutski, Chuckie, Toddla T, Heidi and Zane Lowe will all be there.

Kinda sad there's no Ibiza Rocks Hotel nor a big party like Cream at Privilege like last year but I'll still be at Space
Yeah, it's good that they mix it up and do something different though. Keeps it fresh.
So is Tongy gonna be at Pacha and Space that Friday night?
I'm guessing Tong's probably doing both.... besides, there not exactly a long distance apart Pacha and Space are they!!!!! (especially since Paul Okenfold is playing with him at Pacha on that night)

Just out of interest, what do we reckon about R1 moving to Space this year as the R1 weekend is one of the busiest of the season.
Obviously, I'm guessing they will be using all the rooms at Space, seeing that there are so many names on the line up and change is good.
Equally, going from Privelege with its 10000 capacity to Space's just over 3000 is a bit of a reduction, so getting a ticket will be even harder!!!!!

space's capacity is just a tad more than 3000.
you could get 3000 in the discoteca alone and still have room to dance an irish jig.

anyone know how you get tickets for the space event? Also do R1 do a live broadcast thing in the day on the beach or like in Mambo? I'm sure 1 year they did cos Tongy and Vernon Kaye had an old-school-house-tune-battle I think it was at Mambo, is this a yearly thing or is it usually just the night?

Tickets: If I recall, during Tong's show last Friday, he said that in the next couple/few weeks R1 will say "how you can be involved."
Mambo: For the last 3 years, R1 have broadcasted from Ibiza Rocks Hotel.
Before Ibiza Rocks, they did broadcast from Mambo.
Going from Tong's show last week when it was all announced, it sounded like there would by no daytime event before broadcasting from Space which starts at 19:00
