problem with flights,!!!

On my Ryanair flight out to Ibiza last month i was expecting it to be a fairly roudy with it being a 5/6pm flight.
Nobody seemed particluarly out of it boarding the plane and nobody caused any issues whilst on there.

The two girls sat next to me brought duty free onto the place and it wasn't taken off them.

A couple of lads in front hit the booze pretty hard, 8 G&Ts plus a couple of cans but didn't act untoward.

i usualy fly to ibz with air berlin which is now operated by nicci airlines, on flights to ibz or pmi they do not tolerate pax to bring and consume alcohol on their aircraft. Last year i took in a can of beer which i got from airport bar and half liter of rum from the tax free shop, once the flight attendant saw my beer she told me to either dash it in that trolley bin or drink it asap. guess what i did :) she was just standing there and checking that i drink it which i did in one sip.
once the beer was finished i ordered a can of coke for 3 euros, after she moved on i took out my rum to mix myself a cuba libre, one drink is easy and makes me relaxed, a few more then i would also get bit funny.

in my opinion pretty much everything said with regards to drinking and behaviour applies to any public place not just a plane. I drink a fair amount on a plane but sit happily listening to my music for 2 hours looking at my watch every 5 minutes hoping the flight is nearly over

With all the news reports going around about delayed flights, diverted flights and arrests, you'll think people would start to get the idea......

We were delayed by 3hrs coming back in June, due to the flight from the UK having pissed up dicks on board.

Never been delayed or diverted while on a flight, the worse I have been on was a 7am flight to Amsterdam while heading to Pacha festival a couple years ago, flight had a mixed party of about 20 people on board who were loud...very loud, but not nasty in any way.

Drinking Duty free is banned on any flight, and while I've had these emails about not being allowed to bring alcohol on-board, I've never witnessed it enforced, but seriously, its 2 hr flight...have a couple in the airport and a couple on board...take it easy, you have Ibiza to get smashed in!!

Have an 8pm flight when I go in October for closing weekend.....I'd be pissed off if that got delayed due to piss heads, as it would wipe out the first night of a short weekend stay

That's the thing, it's not the drinking that's the issue, it's the drinking that's the excuse; The people causing problems are cunts. They'll always be cunts. They always have been cunts. They may act more cuntish when they've had a few, and stopping them from drinking may limit their cuntishness. But they'll still act like cunts and ruin everyone elses day.

Also at altitude alcohol has a stronger effect (lower air pressure). I've been fortunate never to have experienced drunks on a flight.

Parents taking <6 month old babies which cry the whole flight however
(Never mind taking such a young child to a very hot place, but what do I know)

Ibiza airport was packed on Sunday 30th July. All departures were delayed owing to some fault with the baggage conveyor belts or something to do with security (rumours spread about). The queue was so long it started near the entrance and continued across the entire ground floor, up the stairs, and zig zagged across the shopping lounge. Managed to get through it all with only 15 minutes before the departure gate closed. We then waited on the plane for nearly an hour before we took off as there was now a queue of planes waiting to take off before ours. I think most of us were kind of glad (because who wants to leave Ibiza!). Then it was our turn and with a tear we said farewell to Ibiza. Until next time. :p

Nightmare night @airport
2014 july me and my fiance finished one week ibiza holiday and go to ibiza airport to fly back to home. Our flight destination was 8.am to 10 am ibiza to milano malpensa then 16.30 to 20.00 milano to cyprus. First of all it make 1 hour delay at ibiza, we didnt sleep that night so think that 1 hour sleeping may be well for us. İt annouced 2 hours more delay. So we make a breakfast and coffee. Then think about if our plane dont move at that time we miss second flight and dont go to our home. So we check skyscanner but it was sunday so there is no early flight to milano...they announced another 5 hours delay. Our both flight was easy jet. We know that we will sure to miss second flight so decide to call easyjet call center and explain them we will miss out flight milano to cyprus. Call center said that sorry for that but they cant make a connection flight...our flight move after 10 hours delay and reach to milano... We stack milano airport paid 700 euros to buy another flight ticket sleep @airport ( ıt was really cold compare with ibiza) then move to home apporextmtley we stay 36 hours in airport. When we went to home my fiance was very ill...
Easyjet never again.

I'm the same i love to have a few in the airport before simply because i'm always buzzing to be going back to Ibiza. I usually fly from Belfast or Dublin and haven't seen any issues in terms of people being arrested or anytrhing, have seen plenty of people popping pills or sniffing gear down the years and tunes playing a few times but it's always in good spirits.

I'm going to the airport tomorrow to fly to Amsterdam and I'm gonna be a fkn dick  haha nah, will be 100% indulging in one or two pints before getting on board :D

Happy weekend everyone!

Been on two flights from Glasgow in the last year. Two guys got arrested on landing on the first one and on the second one someone got thrown off before take off for puking and abuse. What they both had in common was they were all have the cabin crew torrents of abuse. I guess the moral is enjoy yourself but don't be a dick to people who are only trying to do their job.

They fail to realise the attendants are their to give advice on help saving lives and people dont take notice. Over the years i have had many a good chat with the lovely ladies in uniform during the air, they go through so much a week with these bellends on board.

A few of us went through a load of gin on the flight over for Space Closing last year... Although, we were no trouble at all because we're not a bunch of massive bellends...

Well I had the privilege be on the first flight this season going to ibiza that ran out of all alcohol mid flight.. that got a massive cheer..

I was in a relationship with one of them for a while. She used to come home absolutely exhausted and her day could be ruined by some dickheads who just went too far. If she asked for someone to get thrown off or lifted it would happen, although they always try to avoid that. She did have a great laugh though with the decent passengers, some of the stuff they see on flights is nuts

It's rather, let's say, interesting, that Ryanair wants to restrict drinking at the airport....but not on it's own planes where it sells alcohol with a very high mark-up. Hmmm.

There has to be a balance found between allowing holiday makers the chance to relax with a beer and keeping the flight nice and peaceful. Heard various solutions, I like the idea of planes and airports being dry before mid-day as generally the busy resorts have flights there and back several times a day so you can choose; a more difficult to administer option would be to allow the gate staff to breathalyse anyone they think may cause problems (if they refuse = no flight) and have a fixed no-fly limit; after all they aren't supposed to board drunk passengers are they? The two-drinks rule won't work as if your mate doesn't drink that's four pints coming your way...just drink his!

However delays are caused even if someone isn't allowed on, as if they have hold baggage that has to be removed as well, meaning planes often miss their slot.

But I think unless stag/hen parties and the like tone down their boozing, many airports and flights will become dry.
