Privilege's lack of decent events

Agree with you , never saw it packed except for manumission, but they were partys that were able to fill up the whole venue ( cream , balearic people , la troya ) but not as full as manumission but they were definitely enough people ...
Circoloco used to have also a one -off event in privilege at the end of the season during the mid 2000 if I remember well , they were using the main room , attended one and loved it , same for cocoon when amnesia had to stay closed in June , they did 3-4 in privilege and wasn't that bad at all . Really hopping privilege get back from where he belongs ( but will take more than one season I believe... )

Quick question for you guys:

The Suara parties on Sundays at Privilege, are those in the main room or the smaller side room (vista room? can't remember the name). Also, has anyone actually been to Suara before or seen Coyu in Ibiza? I went to Suara at BPM festival and it was a good time, however I only have 2 nights in Ibiza this summer and need to make the most out of them.

Hi Jorge,

My thoughts, for what its worth:

I'm assuming that the Suara night will be in Vista but I don't know for sure.

I went to the Suara night when it was in Sankeys a few years back. As I posted elsewhere, musically it was one of the best nights I've been to on the island in the last few years, but it was embarrassingly quiet there. My mate stayed till the end and he said he was the only person on the dance floor. It was that quiet.

I didn't go to their night when it was at Booom as I hated that club with a passion.

I've seen Coyu a few times (although only once in Ibiza, at Space) and I've always really enjoyed his sets. He puts up stuff weekly on Soundcloud so you can get a good sense of what he plays there.

I'm hoping the night in Privilege builds up some momentum as I'd really like to go when I'm back in late August but i will wait and hear what the feedback is before I make that decision. If it's even a limited success, then I'll probably go along as I really like that label.

Thanks for the feedback mate. I'm also heading there last weekend in August so we might end up at the same party lol.

I've gone to Vista for the solid grooves opening party last year. Great music although I was hoping to check out the Privilege Main room. With only two nights in the isle this season versus a week last two years I need to be selective. Sundays seem to be a little tough this season, so its either this or Defected at Eden probably. Pacha and Solomun were fun last year but not mindblowing.

I'll be there on the 19th - 22nd August so might miss you by a week? If I do go on Sunday to Suara, I'm happy to give you some feedback on the night.

I actually love Solomun and Pacha but, from what I've heard from Butch, I'm not sure I want to pay €70+, to see him that Sunday especially with Suara being an option. That said, we're staying no more than 10 mins walk from Pacha so there's always the option to grab the end of the night at Pacha after giving Suara a go first!

I went early June last year for solomun and HOSH. I thought the opener was better than the main act. I guess I'm more into techno than whatever solomun plays. Problem was Pacha was beyond packed, sardinne can. I'm also staying im SA during my stay. Any recommendations for Sunday night?

If anyone can confirm which room is Suara in once the party kicks off that would be great.

currently suara is in vista club. and I have a feeling it´ll stay there.

as for solomun at pacha, in my experience a lot of times the guest is actually better than solomun himself. not that he´s bad though. horses for courses really, cunninghamali said patrice bäumel wasn´t her cuppa last sunday, friends of me thought he stole the show musically :)

Ahh really, yeh differ opinions I thought solomon was amazing but I do like his type and different types.of techno. The same type of techno can get me bored, like adam beyer at cocoon he was alright but was getting bored of it! I also preferred what sven was playing more at the end more than what he played at the start!

I get you regarding sven´s set, I also prefer the more melodic stuff he played towards the morning - it just fits the bright terrace!

IMG_3505.PNG I know it's been announced bit more info about what to expect some pretty interesting videos on there Facebook of what they have planned.

now we're talking. I hate every instrument played live along to electronic music. trumpet, saxophone, violine, drums ... kills my mood instantly.

Will this new night be in the main room?

Is IMARICHBITCH just in the vista? Saw some pictures on FB and they are all in the vista, I thought this was Privileges most popular night?
