Did anyone spot last night on the news, conversation between serial racist Prince Philip and the leader of the free world and Americas first black president?

Prince Philip made a comment on the Obama's apparent lack of jet lag to which he replied (this isnt verbatim before the pedant steps in)

"well....Ihad breakfast with the Browns, then I had lunch with the Russians, then I met the Chinese and then the Japanese...."

to which the old boy replied and guffawed..............................

"how did you tell them apart??""

Not much material there for the Republicans to latch on to. It wasn't Obama's gaff (plus many of their leadership would have made the same joke )

Especially funny that that clip linked above comes from Russia Today! Aside from the immense irony of Russians pointing out someone else's racially insensitive remark, I didn't think anyone actually watched that channel  I know a few of their reporters and presenters.

Some entertainer/tv pleb was in Windsor Castle admiring the view from one of the state rooms and said as much to himself out loud.

Then he heard someone say "Yes it would be if it wasn't for all those f**king planes"

He turned round to see Phillip behind him :D

Phillip is great. When i was at a bucks palace garden party once he and Liz were doing the rounds and talking to some folk and he made some comment about getting the snipers on the roof to take someone out that had annoyed him

Brilliant.

One I heard that Barry Fry said.

His physio said one of the players was badly concussed and said he didn't know who he was! Fry replied ' Tell him he is Pele and get him him back out there!'

Phillip does look like a shriveled up old thing in this photo, doesn't he?

Fair play. But my comment about Phillip was more related to his physique and demeanor than his age!

Reports are that they hit it off quite well. I think that's a good thing.
