aka Portable Hi-fis, Ghetto Blasters and, well, the other common term for them is a bit close to the pc bone for sensitive eyes.

As it's widely regarded, I personally live, eat, breathe and sh1t house (and other) music. I never leave home without my sony mp3 player, and easily listen, mix and 'collect' it for a good few hours a day, every day.

So when travelling to foreign climes, particularly Ibiza, I would find it tortuous to survive without good music in my room. Whilst clearly there's enough music outside to shake one's thang at, even going through the Toney Manero routine getting ready half naked in front of a mirror just doesn't feel right without a bit of music 'wholly or predominantly characterised by the emission of a succession of repetitive beats' being played in the background.

Currently I have a small set of (5 watt) powered speakers, which whilst do the job slightly better than you'd imagine (especially for their size), it's not quite function 1. Barely function 0.00001 if we're being honest, and the 2 x 1.5inch diameter speakers don't physically allow for a respectable representation of anything remotely low frequency wise.

So of the various options to correct this, my current thoughts turn to this:

Has anyone else got or seen one before?

Any other suggestions?

It has a line in which is fine, though priobably the only time ever I'd ever feel the urge to get a ****ty ipod:spank:

(Though they do look outrageously good as it has a custom fitted cradle to stick your ipod in - pah! in fairness, I'm kidding no-one if I pretend I won't buy the ipod too)

So you say you're short of one?! I might know a set of function 0.0001's going spare...!

Speakers

I have this IPOD speaker system from Logitech. Nice sound in a 15X15 foot Room it will recharge your Ipod duel voltage, built in battery last about 10 hours. with remote and carry case about the size of a carton of smokes. I take it to the beach and use it in my office. The other one sounds great but is a bear to transport.

I've got this model and I'm very happy with it. The sound quality is very clear, the bass is full and rich and when you turn it up, it makes a hell of a racket. I took mine to Ibiza last year. It's relatively heavy (which is reassuring, component quality-wise) but quite a convenient shape for packing in a suitcase.
