I would have had Blancmange in place of a Guy called Gerald, but I forgot about it (memory fades further)

Can't argue with the winners for me.

Damn was too late to vote.
My addition to the list was going to be a personal favourite of mine which always reminds me of Ibiza.. scorchio - sasha & emerson

I think it was a mistake putting up that big list.Apart from the initial confusion it influenced people too much.
It would have been more interesting to see some original thoughts, also the definition of 'dance' can vary greatly,Sweet Dreams scored highly...yet Unfinished Sympathy got the thumbs down from you, although it fits the beats criteria to be included in the list.
It would have been interesting to see what turned up here compared to where you sourced this idea from.

My own thoughts on the greatest 10 I will save for later...they were not flying in this one!

Oooh just spotted this.

 upset I missed this bandwagon but playing anyway.

Don't expect me to qualify them though as I'll be here forever...

This would be different on another day - just where my head's at this eve.

I think you're probably right Don - noted for next time

B0llocks to uk dance music

I agree with you when it comes to disco/house - the Uk did however produce a lot of decent hardcore/rave/jungle/breakbeats, which also merited a mention in this poll

*don carlos - alone = KILLER tune 8)

Faithless? You ARE joking???

I can't bear them.

There's a few gems in that list but on the whole it's rrrrrrubbish.

...

My faves:

atmosfear - dancing in outer space
lfo - lfo
leftfield - song of life
xpress II - london xpress
marrs - pump up the volume
The KLF - what time is love
loose ends - hanging on a string
coldcut/lisa stansfield - people hold on
808 state - pacific state
slam - positive education

faithless are a bit naff but enduring kudos to anyone who can insert lyrics like 'tearing off tights with my teeth' into some cliched trance chords.

someone I know hung out with maxi jazz at the rock bar in ibiza in 2009 and apparently he's not only a top fella but also has very fine taste in music
