I Love xmas, as a kid I thought it would lose it's appeal as I got older but it hasn't ;)

Stunted mental growth can be a bonus, see gang?

so liking being around my family & friends, seeing people I care about is a sign of being retarded?? Ok :?

I LOVE Christmas :D :D :D

I love Christmas shopping (in fact I've done most of mine already   ) and then wrapping everything up and everything being all Christmas-y in the shops :D

These days, I see it as an excuse to eat a big fancy dinner and little else.

My family (parents, brother) does "Christmas lists" so you usually have an idea of what presents you're getting (though often times, it's just a little bit off :? )... that's if I'm home. If I'm not, then it's Amazon gift certificates all around. :? My wife doesn't work so her presents, in my mind, are really nothing more than her shopping on my behalf.

In short, little joy other than the big traditional Christmas dinner, which for us is very similar to the traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Since Thanksgiving is in November (i.e. earlier than Xmas), I tend to value that holiday a little more.

 (I get over that by making lists on my computer of what I've bought everyone  )

I'll probably have the usual rigmarole (sp??) this year like every year where I make Tom open all his presents at the beginning of December and then have to go out and buy more wrapping paper so they're all rewrapped in time for when we go to my parents for Christmas and he can act all surprised when he opens them

Rag week JJ? :P

I'm sure the family Jacobs are in fact wonderful and indeed make the festive season a joyous time. Spare are thought those who have assholes for relatives though, eh?

This year will be an out of the ordinary festive season.

Our first child is due to be born on Dec 22nd and all the focus is on that at the moment :)

Have not even thought about Xmas and probably won't this year which is a weird feeling.

How a few well aimed, expertly delivered squirts can alter your priorities in life

Tiny yet cool and groovey Space T shirt already purchased this summer and gorgeous, minute but fully priced white floaty dress bought in Ibiza Town that will probably disintegrate in a hail of baby bile within 5 minutes :)

Any room for a little one in Bora Bora next September ?

hahaha babs ! fun, well i LIKE the idea of xmas, being with family but what I ment by this was: dont you all think it starts too early. by the time we hit mid-november, we´re all like up to our necks in all the xmas food, the parties and bs*

Here in Mallorca we still don't have Xmast cards and decoration or anything similar. Will start about december.
Personally I love Xmast, the family meetings ( is just an excuse because we do it all year around),the friends, the Xmast food, the vibe, feeling , the Xmast ligths, the Xmast tree, the nativity scene ( even so I am not a believer), don't know why but I love all this so much. With this I am really happy but I must admit cause I don't want to be an hypocrite that I also like to get presents and also give them, that I get a little bit contagious by all that mad consumerism.
I know that there is people that really dont like it or they miss more than ever, people that has been very important for them, and this days is really hard for them to get over it, but I think this is why that others, because of it, should be really greatfull for being able to be all together.

:D :D :D

hehe I always do something like that, I get so excited with what I've bought people that I end up making them open them a bit early, then ruing xmas day and I'm never satisfied with their oohs and aahs

'I spent 3 hours finding the perfect gift for you and all you can say is thank you ???"

Congrats sir - magical times ahead I'd guess. Name it Jesus and the choice of pre-printed birthday cards is yours!

aww mikkah sounds NICE!

thank you :D :D :D , how come you don't come so much this days??? I really miss your post and stories, I really love perfums but I am the type that live of the samples that they give me when I buy makeup, for methis is my top priority when is up to spend money, it really drives me crazy so I intend not to go near it when I don't want to spend money.

I love xmas and I love seeing my little brother opening his presents. I do believe that xmas is for kids at the end of the day but also about family all coming together and sharing it with each other.

I love all the hype up towards xmas, the decorations, the cold.

This year all the family are going to a restaurant for xmas day dinner, will be nice.

I noticed that theres a few xmas decorations gone up on Broad Street already 8O
