Poison Chalice!!!

No forest over Blackpool, but have soft spot for Oldham as used to play there a lot as a yoth :)

You used to play football @ Oldham or you just used to play in generally @ Oldham :? If it's the former I'll kind of let you off, if it's the latter no excuse boy :spank:

kind of both, had a few games for a fringe team of boundary juniors, then was deemed not good enough, which to be fair they were right ;) then played for a sunday team who had it as their 2nd pitch!! back in the astroturf days!!

 Now you really are clutching at straws ;)

I wouldn't say no to Ranieri.

Anyway, I'm glad we're attracting quality names. I was getting worried when Neil Warnock resigned!

I can assure you Gordon Strachan would have no interest whatsoever in the Man City job, why would he want to leave a big club like Celtic to go to a club like City, you'd want to be mad

well the most unpopular job in English football is up for grabs again....no no Joey Bartons spin writer but manager of my beloved MCFC!!

heres the betting:

Claudio Ranieri 11-8
Louis van Gaal 9-1
Gerard Houllier 14-1
Gordon Strachan 14-1
Sven Goran Erikkson 16-1
Neil Warnock 16 -1
Billy Davies 16 -1
Guus Hiddink 20 -1
Paul Jewell 25 -1
Ronald Koeman 25 -1

The official line is that they have appointed someone, from abroad but cant announce it yet as the season isn't over and the manager in question hasn't informed his club. So although Van Gaal, Houllier, Ranieri & Koemann have all "ruled themselves out" it could still be anyone of them.

beleive me mate, we wouldn;t want him, although, his post match interviews are the stuff of legend!!

p.s, babs....first day back today, what happened Friday 8O

I like the Tinkerman he's a gentleman (unlike that cocky bas**rd Mourinho) and was shafted by Chelsea.

Personally i think he would be mad to take the City job, id stay in Italia if i were him.

I see Owen Hargreaves has agreed to join Man United, he is a good player and should do well for United.

Reds agree Hargreaves deal

United have agreed a deal to bring Bayern Munich midfielder Owen Hargreaves to Old Trafford, and he will complete his move at the start of July.

An official club statement said: "Manchester United is delighted to announce that it has agreed terms with FC Bayern München for the transfer of Owen Hargreaves. The player has also agreed terms with the Club and passed his medical.

"Owen will formally sign his contract with Manchester United when he returns from his holiday at the end of June and will join on 1 July 2007."

The deal ends months of speculation linking Hargreaves with a move to the new Premiership champions in what the player himself described as "football's longest-running saga".

It completes a busy 24 hours of transfer activity following the news on Wednesday that the Reds have agreed in principle to sign Sporting Lisbon winger Nani and FC Porto's attacking midfielder Anderson.

Trust me... I know for a fact that Claudio was not shafted one bit by the club. And yes, he is a very nice guy.

I'd stay at Parma too, if I were him... unless he's afraid that he could achieve nothing more there than keep them from being relegated for another year .
