PIKES 2024

I was at the door on the side of the dj booth for the last hour and a half and noticed that Harvey instructed the "light man" several times, because the lights didn't really match the mood of the music. In those moments when Harvey took care of the lights himself, the strobe was significantly calmer.
 
Strobe lights that strong in such a small space (Or do they appear stronger because of the small space?) can’t be good for many of the people in there. Only takes a quick Google to see the effects they can have.
 
Anyone know who was in Freddie’s last night? I’m sure I seen David Morlales at the start but then someone else took over who banging it out.

Overall had a wicked night. Pikes is still fun and the crowd seemed lovely. Guess it’s just pot luck who turns up on the night.
 
Hiya All. Been following the forum and various threads and wanted to know your thoughts on which night to go to for Pikes…on the guest list for this Fri. Sun and Mon. Likely only to go to one realistically as got the the Sven closing on Thurs 3rd

Dave Seaman big trance/ prog dj back in the day. Pete Gooding, Mambos resident and island resident, also back in the day- others will advise if still knocking around, Hostel La Tour? Both very capable gents for a party. Pikes house band great.

I only ever heard the Unabombers play out once, in E London about 15 years ago. A really good night IIRC. I sadly missed out on all the Electric Chairs as Manchester always seemed so far away!

Electric Chair was a proper good night. Very eclectic, music and crowd. Never got the recognition it deserved, which probably served it well.
