PIKES 2024

Just chiming in here since we went to Sarah Story closing party on Wednesday … we arrived around 2300 and didn’t have any issues queuing to get in so I wonder if it is more an issue over the long weekend (Thursday-Monday) as we met a lot of Brits who seemed to go as a one off to see what is was all about … I think the overall set up now is far better than previous years with many more areas to dance or chill including the pool area being open until 0200 which I hadn’t seen before … for the record I can’t see what else they can do with the queue if hundreds of people rock up at the same time which of course they can’t really account for so it sounds like some sort of system is a positive and will only be used on certain nights… p.s. the strobe in Freddie’s is horrible

This. It is still great, I promise!! But definitely hitting some speedbumps trying to bring something in mid-season that's untested.

The cocktails up in Room 39 aren't pre-mixed are they? Pool bar definitely could be tbh, and they don't serve cocktails in Plaza Mayor anymore.

Can’t entirely remember. I do know that I asked for a non alcoholic cocktail and they couldn’t make me one 🤷‍♂️
 
Myself and a group of friends went to our first pikes a few weeks back on a Saturday for pikes house party. We all came away saying it may have been one of our favourite nights ever on the island! Can’t imagine how good it must have been previously!

We went last Thursday for Gok’s 50th. Brilliant night out, partner was so happy so job done. Arrived at 11, tennis court queues ongoing, Ebony was arrested as was poor Nick. Dan, promoter brought straight in which was super as looked at the meat counter ticket and almost chuckled 🤭 Cocktaiks in Room 39, fresh and cracking. The atmosphere and place was hopping up to 4am. The crowd as friendly as Space! Few younger ladies trying to push around but that didn’t last long as got picked out and escorted out! GO!!
 
Daytime cocktails definitely aren’t pre-mixed.

I also love Patron (Silver) y Fanta Limon. Actually recommended by a Pikes member of staff last year. Perfect for a night time drink when it’s busy and it packs a punch!

A ticket to see David Gray (off of 1998) here next year is north of £50- this feels like a solid price to me, and cash to a good cause too
 
Found it mad they were available online this year! But good for those that aren't on the island.
Sent the link around to my group and most of them got it.

Wondered why I didn't get and email and then realised that I didn't sign up to get the email 🤣
 
Have to say, while I understand moving people away from taxi drop off, didn't like the new entrance. Felt more like a customer than a guest (yeah I know we're all customers). Also asked for a charity donation which was happy to give but wonder if they are testing what people will pay if changes are afoot for next year.

Pool was good but after 2 nights hit my "wall" and with no DJ in Plaza Mayor left before Freddie's opened. I am ashamed with myself but was the right thing to do where I was at that point.

Woke up today feeling really meh but Sa Trinxa has grabbed me back. 😃

I’ve seen nothing but bad reports this year. Someone said they were stood in the tennis courts for an hour and a half and even then your not guaranteed to get in even if you have a barcode??

Sounds an absolute sh!tshow
 
Problem is word has spread, and now your average Joe is going to want to go to Pikes rather than go somewhere else...there is finite space at Pikes, so I'm not sure what they are meant to do. They can't make Freddie's bigger...they could charge entry?? Not sure that would deter the people that are already trying to go.
