Phil's Review - Ibiza 2012

Indeed, mate. Refurbed and reopened 2nd year of Uni. A corporate clubbing relic 6 years later. Who knows where I'd be and who I'd be socialising with without that place.

Did you see Paul van Dyk (Early 2008 ) or Above & Beyond (2008 or 2009) play?
Probably went to alot of the same nights.

Funnily enough, of all the people I saw, and I've seen those two as often as I've seen anyone over the years, PvD and A&B I never caught at Syndicate. (Although Good For Me was heard many many times and actually reminds me of the place.)

First night was for Eddie Halliwell in about late 2006 (I think A&B had played pretty much the first trance gig there months earlier). After that, Armin, Rank 1, Sean Tyas, Sander Van Doorn, Marcel Woods, Markus Schulz, Ferry Corsten, Greg Downey, Matt Hardwick, Lisa Lashes, The Tidy Boys, Jordan Suckley and Ben Nicky loads - take your pick! :D

I missed the bigger names, they put Corsten on in '07 but I wasn't into the music then so wasn't willing to pay £15 to get in

Seen a few of the others. The Tidy boys (2008, maybe?) absolutely rocked it. Have some videos from their set actually. The two residents, Ian and Gavin, used to play damned good Trance towards the end of a normal Saturday night. Remember I used to go nuts to A&B, 1998, allsorts. ^.^

Yep, Tidy Boys in 2008 is the one. One of my favourite nights that was. I was still in my hard dance phase at that stage so I was probably as excited about Lee Haslam and The Tidy Boys as anyone.

Saw Armin for the first time at Syndicate actually. Cost us £6 entry. I mean, that is mind-blowing.

The two residents were decent, yeah. I remember going nuts to Filo & Peri - Anthem on a Friday night once, probably because I knew I'd be the only one in the entire club that knew what it was.
